Hey all,
Just thought I'd throw up some pics of the nearly finished "rev 2" of my FX50s custom sound system. I've upgraded the read deck/enclosure and all wiring, added a third Alpine PDX amp (M12 1200 watt monoblock for the two subs) and a second Morel Ultimo 12 (on order).
In addition I've bitten the bullet and moved my front mids and tweets into the A-pillars with a custom molding job and upholstery.
Remaining to do:
1. Finish out the false floor
2. Tighten up the under deck wiring a bit, techflex/ties/routing/etc)
3. Install the second sub (although it's 100% functional now)
4. Add matching wood grain and aluminum to the rear deck (to blend/match the FX50s door trim)
5. Integrate full mobile wifi/broadband/hotspot into the vehicle which will provide "always on" Internet and local lan via either cellular or bridged wifi, dynamically.
Here's a few shots taken in poor lighting from my phone. One of these days I'll get some better shots and put those up. But for now these are better than nothing
This was a huge job compared to my previous build. This time instead of tackling it alone I enlisted the help of a good friend of mine Scott, here in Austin, who's done the lion's share of the work. He's got a nice huge shop in his back yard, a CNC and expertise up the yahoo. Learned a lot as we built this together over the course of many weekends and couldn't have done it without him.
