This is a pretty basic DIY but you can't replace the blade in position so I had trouble figuring out how to do it until I saw an exploded Parts view (thanks to Fire0nic3). So I thought I would show how to do, it is very simple once you realize what to do.

First you need a new Rear Wiper, Here's the Part#

Start with the rear wiper in the auto stop position, and remove the wiper arm cover

This will expose the wiper arm mounting nut. Remove the nut with a 10mm socket

Pull the wiper arm off the splined shaft

Now you can easily remove and replace your wiper blade with the new one.
Reinstall in the reverse order.

Sometimes they do stick. Try lifting up on the wiper arm a little bit and tapping the center of the bolt with (nut on, carefully) with a small rubber mallet to help break it free. Should work.

Yeah the first time I tried changing the rear wiper I thought it just popped back and simply replace the blade. I ended up braking it and took it to Infiniti and they replaced it for free. The next time I searched on how to do it

i think its rust thats holding it on there Im putting a lot of force to try to get the thing out it just won't budge, ill just ask Infiniti and watch them do it when I get my shifter assembly fixed, lol

Thanks for making this DIY Wayne.

Need to ask a question. Is there a certain amount of ft lb for the torque on that bolt or do you just tighten it till it's tight?

Aaron, I just tighten it up, it idoesn't have to be too tight.

The actual torque required for that nut is 8.8 N.m or 78 in-lbs (6.5 ft-lbs)

Thanks!

The reason I asked is because I accidently deleted my factory service manual last night. Going to have to get another one lol.

Worked like a champ, thanks for the tip. :good:

Almost forgot, you can also buy the replacement blades at Wal-Mart. They are Anco and are probably much cheaper than the dealer. The part # is AR-14B and I paid $8.83 in Orlando.

Auto Zone also stocks a Trico "direct replacement" for the rear wiper. $9.99.
