So back in January was getting
VCD Off SLip and brake lights.
Turns out my rear brake pad needed replaced. I suspected a bad caliper also since 1 side was way off the other side.

Yesterday started hearing a screeching sound like time to change the brakes.
Today I remove the tire. Pads looks like fine I go ahead an replace the caliper. Sound not only there but sounds worst.
If i put in going forward with no gas applied normally it would coast forward at idle speed now it just stays still.
If i put it in reverse does the same thing.

Here is the current sounds.

Car is unusable as is.
Please give ideas where to go from here.

Wow, that sound is scary. Is the wheel spins freely when it jacked up? I would jack it up and spin it with hand. If it cannot spin freely, I would remove the caliper from the rotor and spin the rotor. My guess would either be a seized caliper or a really bad hub bearing.

Does the wheel spins freely with it jacked up? If not, it may be the hub bearing. I would remove the caliper, and spin the rotor. It might be harder to spin the rotor by itself. If you jack up both rear wheels and spin the driver rear and have someone listen to the passenger wheel.

Simply depress the parking brake while having the vehicle in motion. If it replicates the sound or if it stops that might be your issue.

Are sure you don't have the parking brake on if not than your parking brake is stuck or breaking apart
the parking brake is inside the rear rotors the center of the rear back rotors they are made like the old drum brakes
Oem parking brake parts they are not that expensive

and i would check if you didn't accidentally pressed your parking brake

Well found the issue.

Question is how do I fix it? Is it something I can do or is it time to take to a shop. What part is needed.
I think that is the wheel hub but I might be wrong. If so someone had posted they needed a press for it but later found some pre pressed.

Edit....
Found this video

If I find a prepressed set this looks easy to do.

Yes your right. You need the wheel hub. Its not pressed on its all bolted up. I think andy had a diy around here somewhere.

Anyone know the best place to buy the parts? The link I found was to jcwhitley but they only have front in stock

You can buy them at any Auto parts store, when I did mine I chose to go with oem parts from the dealer just because of the quality of the part.

Sent from my SM-N920V

Glad you found the problem. I use Timken bearings. The part is Timken BM500005. I buy from Rockauto.com or Amazon depending on price. I would take it apart and take the assembly to a shop to have them press the hub out of the old bearing and press it onto the new bearing. They may charge $20 - $25 for it.

Here is the DIY: https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=15192-DIY-How-to-Replace-Rear-Wheel-Bearing

I took the rear axle off in order for clearance to knock the hub bearing assembly loose since I don't have an air hammer at the time.
