Anyone know the length of the studs on the H&R DRS 15mm spacer/stud kit?

NVM I got the answer. 45mm.

Don't quote me on this but I believe factory studs are 30mm so for a 15mm spacer they should be 45mm.

I added the factory info to the sticky, but has any of the wheel info changed in the Gen2 or Gen3 models?

Ah, nevermind I see the new 09 sticky.

funny thing is infiniti was real stingy on stud length, I think the stock studs shoulda been at least 5mm longer than they are & could even take a good 10mm more & still be within a good length for even a closed end lugnut. I always spec at least 5mm longer than technically correct with nissan. if/when I do spacers in the front I'm going to get nice long 3" arp studs & cut them to size to get the proper thread engagement, I bet many here with aftermarket wheels don't really have enough thread engagement.

Reason I asked was one of my studs seem to have broke at the tip so i was missing a lug nut which I did not realize until today when I was notified by the mechanic that was replacing 2 of my rear tires. I had the H&R studs on the FX since I had the spacer kit installed with my previous wheels about 4 years ago. I just ordered some extra 45mm H&R studs today.

I'm pretty sure the mechanic who did my last brake job in March probably broke it and kept quite about it. That was the last time anyone touched my wheels.

Most places I have gone have used an impact to remove/install the lug nuts on the wheels.

One place ended up not getting the lug seated properly and threaded the stud by 1/2 way putting in the lug nut crooked.

Now I have warnings written on the wheel lock socket and spline socket to only use a torque wrench... I also keep a torque wrench in my trunk at all times in case the shop doesn't have one....

I didn't care too much before, but now with 2 piece rotors, I'll be pissed if they over torque and distort my rotors.

BTW -- I just bought 25 mm H&R DRM spacers for my spare tire (so it will clear my BBK in case of a flat). Wow, I am very impressed with the quality of these spacers, glad I spent the extra money on these -- even though I hopefully will never have to use these.

Read that but was still not 100% sure as the choices are 14mm or 13mm. But doing the conversion I am assuming it's 14mm as both .561 and .565 John refers to equals 14mm.

I bought H&R 20mm Spacers but I didn't know I had to change out all the studs. Do many that have H&R 20mm spacer have the DRS or do FXer go with the DRM

Most go with the extended studs, this way you don't have to worry about 40 lug nuts and studs.

Big Al's Muffler & Brake here in VA put in all new studs for me for $20. It was a heck of a deal, but it's not a major thing. It requires a lift, a mallet, a junk lug nut and about half an hour. No lift? Maybe an hour instead of half an hour.
