Just wanted to make a simple guide to show you guys how to change our ugly yellow stock vanity lights. Definately worth the $12 + shipping I paid for these bulbs. I already changed all of the other interior lights in my FX, but have been neglecting the vanity lights as I never really use the vanity mirrors.
The bulbs in these mirrors are really small, so make sure you get the right ones. There are two different kelvin ratings (color) you can choose from:
6000K (Pure White with a tinge of blue)

or
5000K ( Pure white)
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/Vanity-LED/White-LED/HI-POWER-SMT-3-LED-HID-p7114848.html
Step 1:
I went 6000K to so that it would match the rest of my interior/exterior lights
Side by side comparison with OEM stock bulb on the left and LED bulb on the right
Step 2:
Locate the little dip at the top of the mirror I circled in red. This is the area you can insert you interior removal tool or flat head screw driver. Before doing that though, you must protect the surrounding trim with something like painters tape as cause you WILL damage the trim around it prying/popping off the light cover
Step 3:
After taping up the surrounding trim and locating the dip in the top, insert you trim removal tool into the dip and pull it towards you. Don't pull too hard cause you might crack it or break the clips holding it. It will make a pop sound letting you know it's off
Step 4:
Use the same interior removal tool you used on the light cover to also remove the bulb from it's socket. Just wedge it in between and pop it out. The reason why is cause you don't want to touch the bulb directly. It's very hot since it's on and you could burn your hands on it. Trust me I learned the hard way lol
Step 5:
Finally your done!! Please see before and after photo's below. What a difference

As always happy modding
