My tires are about due, and I'm living in MN where is terrible with snow in winter.
So, I'm planning to get this set Parada Spec-X because of the price and brand (i love the performance tires by them), but would like to get some opinions and feedbacks before i make the purcahse.

Please chime in...

I have the 20" Parada Spec X for Spring/Summer/Fall and love them.
I have the 18" Blizzaks for Winter duty, and they can't be beat:tup:up here in the Great White North. Your winters in Minnesota can be pretty harsh also.

I have these on my 20" stockers, really can't beat the quality/performance that you get from Yoko for the price! I say you get them!

Agreed - I think this is the least expensive, best performing, quietest, longest lasting tire out there. I went through 3 sets of Goodyear RSAs before switching to the Yokos. Got a bit less than 30,000 miles on each set of RSAs and I'm at 20,000 on my Yokos with more than 50% tread life remaining. I expect to get between 45-50K miles on these and if I get a bit more it won't surprise me.

I'm lowered on Eibachs, but I think the Yokos look nice with a bit of tire shine on them!

Then, have you tried running these in snow before? How did they perform?? I've read some reviews stating that they do good in snow though!!

I ran my 20" Paradas in the snow several times this last season, from icy leftovers to full on plowing through 12 inches of fresh powder and they are great. They were new just before last winter and are siped, which may or may not make any difference, but I don't regret the purchase at all and won't be buying seasonal tires.

has anyone gone with the replacement certificates from Discount and actually used them?
all that B.S. that they try to sell, not worth it.

I have the Yoko's on my stock 20's too and I am very happy with them. The previous leasor who had it put on a new set just before he turned it back to the dealer. I dont have any other tires to compare with, but they are quiet and handled very well this past winter. Dry performance is really good too. I would definately get the 22 inch versions when I make that next big step.

The certificates are worth it in my opinion. Not sure if the price has changed, but $35 for each cert is a great deal considering tires can be $200+ a piece. When I had my old 2000 Audi A6 4.2, I was running 255/40/19s and also had coilovers. The ride was very harsh and I blew out two tires on potholes and one on a very aggressive turn. They were also Pirellis too, so Im not sure if that added to the mess. I switched over to Michelin Pilot Sports after that. So three tires in one summer and all I had to pay was another $35 for the next cert. Small price to pay for insurance. Discount Tire has really great service, you can't go wrong with them.

i have never bought insurance for my tires, and i've had 6 cars in 6 years without a problem with tires. lucky? i donno. currently, i drive 15 miles a day at 35 mph tops. so this thing doesn't worry me. btw i don't go to discount tire, i buy my tires online and have them shipped at a repair shop close to where i live, and they mount and balance it for me for $60.

Just purchased Yokohama Parada Spec X 265/50/20 on stock FX35 rims. They look great and handle ever better! I purchased the Parada Spec X from Discount Tire for $800 out the door.

Make sure that they balance your FX35 tires well, or else the ride will be bad. Also becareful with the shop you have do them. Discount Tire scratched ALL 4 of my rims during the installation. Good price doesn't matter if your rims get trashed because they have monkeys work in the shop.

Good luck. Hope you like them.

I got my Parada Spec X's on my stock 20's last weekend. They are so much better than the Proxy 2's I had. Quieter, smoother, and yes, I have even seen an increase in gas mileage by almost 2 mpg in town.

I also got them at Discount for about 800 after a rebate.

I just saw some Yokohama AVID ENVigor tires on tirerack. Anyone had any experience with these. They might be too new though. These Goodyears seem like feel every bump in the road and are driving my crazy. haha...
