What did you do to your Q70 today?

Washed, vacuumed, lysol'ed (wipes - got most of that coffee my buddies spilt off my center console). Changed the V belt a few days ago but got sent the wrong drive belt so gotta get that swapped.

Replaced the wiper inserts with new ones. Changed the air filter. Changed the spark plugs and the cabin air filter as well.

Getting the diff fluids, tranny fluid, and coolant flushed/replaced on friday at the dealer (should have a sweet G37 for a loaner for a few hours - quick cars) and then I'm ready for my trip to Clearwater, FL in 2 weeks and Missouri in June.

Test fitted carking's roof spoiler but the fitment is totally off. Could it be that roof spoiler that he sells is only for pre 08 models? Sort of annoying.

I was able to properly bend the trunk spoiler to fit properly, but the roof spoiler had fitment problems unless I heat the thing a lot and remold it.

Went shopping at work out of boredom...

Just got some standard mods done on the ride this week.

6K head light upgrade
6K HID fog light Kit install
20% rear passenger and rear window tint
35% front door window tint.

Placed order for eibac lowering kit...

Next mod is ECU and Tranny upgrade...

Nice list of upgrades, did you buy the HIDs from DDM? Also why the difference in tint from rear to front? I need tint also.

I haven't messed with the headlights on this car yet. Is it pretty straight forward to swap out the bulbs?

The reason is because of the black interior and if I had them match it will be too dark for me to see at night and it would also attract allot of attention from the cops out here in Hollywood and in my area.

I had to permanently remove the front tint from the FX for this same problem...

Sort of. I have not had any time to mess around with the M. Yet, when I did open the hood I could not fit my big hands to expose the bulb...

A real tight fit compared to our FX's

That's what I was afraid of... I tried to mess with the amber bulbs to see if I can easily remove them to replace them with stealth bulbs, but it looks like I have to remove couple of things here and there to properly access it.

The amber bulb on top is accessible by opening the hood. For any of the other bulbs, you WILL have to remove the splash shields from the wheel wells.

It is possible (if you have small enough hands) to just remove the intake assembly and that will give you access to the driver side bulbs, but the passenger side is no go.

Washed and waxed the M today. Had pictures, but they were on my phone camera and they didn't come out so well.

6000k HL? High Low? Same bulb or you just mean you got 6000k for both?

I personally don't recommend HID's in the high beam. I initially installed them in my car too but have since removed them (actually, I took em out like a week later). Why?

1) When you turn on the high's, it takes a good 10 seconds before they are useable due to the HID's having to warm up.
2) When you flash your highs, the quick on/off action is KILLING your HID ballast/bulb - so they won't last.
