West Coast Regional meet - 2011

YO - I have casually brought this topic up to a few members over the last few months. The concept sounds solid so thought I'd take it out to iS and see if - 1) There is interest and if there is, 2) Should we poll for location ideas (something centrally based in northern CA?), and dates?

Thinking maybe early September, possibly the opportunity for decent weather, most vacations are over and after school has kicked in so it doesn't take time away from family, (if you have kids) OR make it an adventure and bring them along.

A time commitment and an epic opportunity for us West coasters to meet members in person and see their rides as well. Hey, maybe we can convince Rookie and Bert to show and we can see what happens when you go big

2) I'm not familiar enough with NorCal to suggest anything specific, but that general area is fine by me. Early September also works well.

On a srs note, check out Eureka, CA. It's on the ocean, looks like a nice little town/area. 11 hrs from Seattle and LA, 6 hrs from San Jose and 8 hours from Portland.

Yeah, there's a little town called Half Moon Bay not far from me by the coast. It's my favorite area beach city. They have a Ritz there right on the ocean. I think that would make a cool picture, but of course it's a lot farther drive for those of you up north.

The OR/CA border area is great for me. 11hrs is pretty brutal though for the North WA guys...
