I had them on my '00 4Runner and my father's '05 Lexus RX. As soon are available I'm going to order them for my FX. :wink (2):

Yeah, they are in Downers Grove. Not sure if they have moved. The last that I heard was they are buliding a bigger facility located in Bolingbrook.

I put in my request also. I hope they are not lying. I spoke to someone on the phone about this late last year and they claimed the same thing.

:confused.:

I always wondered what the purpose of these were for? Are they to keep wind noise out when the windows are down?

I use them so I can crack the windows a bit during the rain so no water gets inside. It's nice to have a 1-3" gap and not have anything come inside. I've been debating weather to get a set for the fx...

Smokers love them because they have smoke with windows open when it's raining. non-smokers I guess for looks or for some reason want to lower their windows when it's raining?

On hot cities, like everywhere here in PR, some people with vent visors installed crack their wiindows 1-1.5in when parked. Technically speaking hot air(more dense) will leave car interior through the crack. This keeps the car cooler on hot days.

The cool thing is that you don't notice the window is partially open because of the vent visors hide it.

any updates from weathertech recently? i filled out the form a while ago too.. hopefully they can make it for our cars soon.. would love to have them during the summer to keep the interior a lil cooler.

Was at weathertech factory store in bolllingbrook Illinois last week and asked. The lady went into the factory behind her and inquired and came back and told me it was "in process" and offered to email me when it was done. Hopefully it will be out soon. Cool place to visit.

Ive been using the Russian made ones for now. They dont install inside the window channel like the weathertech ones but I do like the fact that they cover most of the chrome leaving more of a blacked out look. Theyre pretty convenient when you wanna "crack" the window in the rain without your elctrical on the door getting all wet. Also when its hot and you wanna let some air circulate through the car while its parked. Nobody can tell your windows are open unless they get pretty close. But yeah Im gonna send in a form now as well.
