Used 22's...

Location
Denver, CO
Car
2003 fx45
Just picked up these Zenetti 22's off craigslist.
Love the wheels... not so sure about the chrome.
The wheels are perfect. Well, very close.
I hate to powdercoat them, but I feel it needs to be done.
FYI The picture is not my FX, but the sellers FX. Same color as mine.
Also, I have stock 20's that I wan't to powdercoat black.
Maybe use the 22's in the spring with the bling [ keep them chrome ] and use the stockers in the winter?
Gotta admit... the 22's would look sick black.
What do you think?
Right now I'm rolling stock 18's that work fine for everything. Go figure.
12 wheels 1 car.
I think I have a wheel problem.
I need professional help

I am still considering selling my 20" stock wheels.
They are in excellent condition (no damage) but were painted an unusual shade of silver and would look best repainted or powdercoated. Keep this in mind if interested. I got a quote locally of 250 for all 4 wheels blasted and powdercoated. I'm sure you could do as well where you live.
$500 plus Actual shipping costs. Boxed up ready to go.

Honestly I don't find them ugly at all. I rode on chrome on my FX because the dealer offered me a deal too good to pass up on a brand new set of 22" rims and tires. At first I laughed at it, and then started receiving compliments, it grew on me. Now this is from someone who hated chrome...

I'd say that whole rock it in the spring thing would work for now. Probably want to add some spacers though.

chrome isn't everyone's favorite. so you're gonna get both ends of the compliments. you do what you think is right for you. +1 on spacers. sell the 20"s. that's too many wheels. dayummmm. what's wrong with you? :smug::confused::tongue (2):

LOL. In my garage sits the 22s, the stock 20s, some HREs, and some OEM BMW wheels. On the FX I have the SSRs. I have cut back on the wheels hahahaha. One can never have too many:wink (2):

Ooohh, so you were the one who bought these from out from under me! Lol! I was looking very seriously at these, but I was out of town last week. Glad to see some one snatched them up. I say stick with the chrome.

I already have 2 sets of oem 20's with tires...Trying to get the Wifey to let me get some 22's though.

Here they are mounted on my sled.

I think I like the chrome.
I can always paint them when I get bored of them.
Or sell 'em to Evak.
They ride softer then I thought they would. Which is nice
I have H&R's...:smug: Not Eibachs.
That probably helps.

Are currently running the 22's in winter? I don't know how bad it gets road-wise during winter in Denver. Get some sport tails and your car will look really clean from front to back now. :wink (2):

We have not had much if any winter to speak of this year. Kinda crazy considering the rest of the country has been getting pounded by weather.
I still sporting my 22's and its Xmas.
I will be mounting my stock 20's when winter finally comes round.
I have to get them powdercoated first.
I couldn't even find a 22" winter tire.
Plenty of 20's to choose from.
Thanks for the compliment.
Sport tails are in the works. As are a painted grill, new HID's and LED's

When winter finally rolls around, haha. :sluggish:

At best, you will probably find only 22" all seasons, like Yoko Parada Specs until 22 becomes the "norm". I have a bad itch to get 22s for summer. Just waiting to see when BC Racing will release their forged line. Ever thought about getting the black badgeless grill instead? It really looks nice in person. I don't have it personally, but definitely a good buy as a couple other members here have them.
