:zip:Hey everyone,

i finally got everything sitting in my garage installed earlier this week---the Nismo S-tune Exhaust, the GTspec 4pt brace and front brace and the rotorpro rotors.................................

I love how the nismo sounds-- not that loud at all, just alot nicer sounding.................
the rotors look nice and they perform pretty welll
and the braces, as far as i can tell ( i havent done that much drivign because i've been working) hold the car together well and you can feel the difference...

but you'll have to wait a couple of days for pictures :)

Any noticeable power gain from the exhaust or just a nice increase in the rumble factor? Really dig the Nismo set up and the tonal quality. I see a number of the more heavily modded FX's running GT Spec braces. Do you purchase the pieces for the G35/37 or the 350Z and do they bolt on directly OR is there extra work involved? I just spoke with a sales guy from My Nismo and he had NO idea what I was talking about.

this could just be mental..but my butt dyno is telling me that the rpms pull a little faster (maybe because of less backpressure?) and on the highways it seems to pull a little better in general...not so much a a 0-60 as a 40-90 type power increase...that could just be me though. Plus, i think I heve a leak where the resonator attaches from an old gasket..and also, there isn't that much "rumble" as you put it...it's just a smoother, throatier sound when compared to stock. it's a little bass-ier. it just basically sounds nicer haha...and you can tell it's not stock.
as for the Gtspec braces....Stulax hooked you up with a link :) they are made for the FX. I actually have a set of prototype models...so i'm special lol:frown:
the braces you can tell right away though...the car feels alot better on turns..especially high-speed

Which braces do you have on the list from that link?

Ooo sorry I guess you mentioned that above:embarrassed:

I think we've all heard multiple exhaust sound clips, for me when the time comes I'll roll with the Nismo, the sound is just-slick. Not hot rod, not Detroit, a bit like stock but just MORE. Anyway, great choice on the exhaust. Are you running the full set of GT Spec braces then? Must be a GREAT ride with braces/HR springs and the STB.

Prototypes? Nice to know people who know people........thanks again for the link StuLax

Ya, I hope to get a Nismo soon, as soon as Alan will get on the ball. I've sent him enough PM's with links by now that I'm sure he can get the HKS.

I want to see pics JB! we are all waiting!

it's been rianing here for the past 2 weeks...like right now it is dark and stormy outside haha. plus, I just finished re-oiling my air filter..and now i have to wait for tit o stop rianing so ic an pop the hood and put it back in (I have the annoying stillen heatshield/air duct thing to it's a tad bit more difficult then the open fillter setups)
but yeah....blame the weather haha.

oh yeah and I'm going to Infiniti tommorow for them to give me a speaker (since one of mine blew) and to balance and rotate my wheels, change the oil, and i have to ask thema bout a few other random things (i want to get new sparkplugs...) so we shall see what goes down. maybe i'll snap a pic of the underbelly when the FX is on the lift..

but i promise when the weather clears up there will be some photos

Picture time

:wink:it was nice out today so i decided to clean up the FX a bit and take some photos...including pics of the new mods! enjoy...
