True Dual Exhaust for FX35

Same price as the Stillen, which includes a large diameter X-pipe. Bet it is comparable.

I'd be interested to see if the separate paths have any performance gains over a single path large diamter exhaust. if anybody gets this - write it up!!!

Did anyone ever try this AAM out?
I think jumbo is right, this seems pretty comparable to stillens true dual.
Would be nice to hear some other audio clips of FX with the AAM

someone did try it on the org a few years ago. That person had fitment issues and bad customer service, since that no one on the org that I know of wanted to risk purchasing it.

yeah I do remember him mentioning that, never saw any pics of this rust though.
It's probably from all the crap they put on the roads during the winter months for snow.

I think the stainless used on their headers is the same 'cause when I got them they didn't look like other stainless headers i've seen. The quality looked a bit on the poor side, even the welds. If I were to do it again I think I would go with topspeed or used nismo.

I'm checking out that invidea and it looks pretty sweet too. Know of any sound clips out there for it or fitment pictures. Wondering if rear GTspec brace would clear this exhaust & not run into it like the stillen does.

A member Gordon works for Invidia and can sell it to you as well.

It sounds very deep and no fitment issues. The GTSpec rear lateral tie braces fits for sure, the lower rear brace should, but no one has tried so far that I know of. It's definitely high quality stainless, and very light.

There is another member here with it on a FX35 I believe.

from what I've seen stillen uses pretty crappy low grade stainless steel, I have a 6 year old bmw m3 exhaust & it has no where near as much rust as this stillen, road conditions aside, the stillen is not as good stainless as even most oem exhausts, it's one of the worse excuses for stainless steel I've ever seen... this is what it looks like 1 1/2 winters old.

I spoke to someone at stillen & they reminded me of there lifetime warenty so not to worried I guess, maybe when it rots completely I'll get the replacement & just sell it, build the exhaust I should have built really the first time around :err:

there are a lot of different grades of stainless...

Wow, I didn't know it was that bad. My HKS and aftermarket Y-pipe still are shiny after a few years of Chicago salt. That looks like my old custom aluminized steel exhaust!

That is sweet with the lifetime warranty as long as they don't give you a headache when you try to get a new one.

thats really bad for 1 1/2 winters. John, what do your headers look like, are those rusted up too? I know the ones that I received from stillen looked like very low grade stainless. I wonder if they've always been like this or if this is just something they started doing recently.
