Totaled my FX

Hey guys. It sincerely pains me to say this however tonight while driving in the city I hit a bad patch of black ice and I lost control of my car. In an attempt to not hit another driver in front of me I cut the wheel to the left and slammed into a light pole. I was not injured at all however it's looking like my car is shot. I am still waiting to get it appraised by the insurance company but I think its safe to say my FX is no more. 45b2bd106c7780f1cf224fc0ec4ccd23.jpg

Both airbags went off and I was able to get out of the car fine. It's moments like this that I'm thankful for an SUV and well if anyone was wondering how good this car was with front end accidents I have officially tested it. It passed. wow what a relief you got out of that unharmed. that looks totalled. all that maters is your fine. thats also why i like to drive suvs.
 
Thats sucks! The streets are really bad around here aswell.
cars can be replaced. People cant! Good thing your safe.
 
Yeah that's not even close to worth being repaired, and even if it was fixed, I wouldn't want it back.

Good to hear you are okay, time to start looking for another one.
 
Lol yeah thanks guys. I'm glad I was able to walk away fine. And yeah depending on how much insurance gives me that'll change what I get. I doubt I will be picking up another FX but hey you never know!

Glad you're OK man...that looks like a bad wreck. I'm in NYC too, and black ice is the reason I didn't use the FX yesterday..took the bus and the iron horse.
 
Man that's horrible. Glad you avoided injury! And thank god for good insurance!

Lmao ^^. I've wanted to change my username for 5 years now hahaha. But yeah I did live up to the name I guess lol. I'm going to be in FL in about two weeks. I found a few FX's for sale 2008 for around 10-13K. I may try and pick one of those up. Depends on the payout from state farm.

I never wear my seat belt. Only do when my kids tell me to. Your post is added incentive to change my dirty ways. Glad u ok. It's just a car

R.I.P TO THE FX but it did its job and you are safe that what important. but i know it well be miss:disapointed:.
 
Thats sucks same conditions here in Ct. Thats why I try and drive my other car as much as possible, I would rather have my daily driver get hit or be in any type of accident instead of my FX. Glad your good though.
