Tires. What kind are you running?

I'm looking for some tires for my new wheels and I'm wondering what you guys are running and how you like them. I am running 19" fronts and 20" rears and looking for something with good handling, a quiet ride, and good wet weather traction. Thanks guys!

I'm now on Vredesteins now but also like the Hankook V12's
How do you like them? How's the ride and traction?

Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Great tire, but kinda noisy.

I've heard the same about those. How long have you had them? How would you compare the road noise to OEM? I don't mind a little increase in road noise if the traction increases along with it. I have the OEM Michelin Primacy MXM4 now and I like them, but they leave me wanting more dry weather grip. Great in the wet though, even with the rears down to the bars.

I'm shopping for tires too. I need tires that would go on my new rims (20x8.5 + 39 and 20x9.5+43). It looks like the best rolling diameter is 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 based on the tire size calculator but I don't know if I'll rub. I am lowered 1.5" in the front and 1" in the back.

I'm shopping Yokohama, Toyo, and Continental.

I would tell you 235/35 & 275/30

Vredestein & the hankook V12's are both great tires.

If you live in an area with nice roads with very little pot-hole the V12's will give you a smoother ride as the sidewalls are softer.

If you like to be in the higher (125+) mph range the Vredestein's are better. I have only gone 140+ just a few times with my M, I always run out of room.

Both work great in the rain but I feel the Vredestein are better.

but the Vredestein's has a great looking design pattern for those that like to go to shows or hang outs.

Wow, talk about limited tire selection... It's either Nitto or Hankooks for matching sets, especially with 235/35 tires... I may just go tad bigger in the front due to tire selection. I wanna run continentals. There are a few members on the other forums (FA) that are running 245/35 with 275/30. Based on the pix, can't really tell a difference.

I am running 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 Continental DWS. I don't drive the M much so I won't be able to tell how good they are, but I do know that they have a UTOQ of 540 which is really high for such thin tires.

For longevity and for commuting, I would like to suggest these or Yokohama YK580. Yokohama YK580 is the newer version of Yokohama YK540. I ran Yokohama YK540 on my Mazda for 60k miles. I would've ran it maybe 10k longer if I didn't over-inflate the tires (middle of the tread was bald) -_-;
