It would likely fit, but it'll be close. People run 285 without problems and depending on brand, a 295 can be smaller than a 285. I've also seen some wheels for sale from an FX that had 295's in front so it's been done.
Why do you want a 295 in front though? It's going to be really bulgy on a 9" rim and you'd have to get a 305 or 315 in back on a 10" to get the same look. A 265 or 275 is a much better fit for a 9" rim and then you can get a 285 or 295 in rear for the 10" to match. Or just get 10" rims all around and get 285 tires on all 4 corners - square setup is better for handling anyways.
Yeah, there isn't much point in staggering unless you are doing it to get massive lip or concave in rear. But a 9" and 10" aren't much different. The FX has a lot more room than some other cars in the front. So while some cars can only run a 9" in front, the FX can do 10" or bigger no problem. And it would look better - wider wheels have bigger lips and more concavity.
Well he's running them...and he tracks his car, so I'd say if it works for him, you'll be fine. But why do you want 295's in front? And keep in mind that wheel width will impact how the tire looks and fits. A 295 on a 10.5" is different than a 295 on a 9".
I want 295's cause that's what I want for rear and don't want to stagger. Cause 265's to small to use in front if I want 295s but yea I would get 20x10 all four wheels if I did go 295's all around
In that case, go for it. Will fit The wheel well fine. If you have any plans for big brake kit, now would be the time to look into the clearance fit on that also, if you also drop, you will need to roll the rears
