Purchased a lease turn-in '08 FX35 a couple weeks ago and am already starting with the mods, so I figured I figured I'd post my updates here for anyone who cares. So far I've got the windows tinted, took the headlights apart and painted them completely black, and I've got some 22x9.5 +18 Verde Allusion's w/ 265/40/22 Nitto's ordered. Hopefully they'll be here Friday! Oh, and thanks to Shadow191 for helping me with the tire sizes... I originally ordered a 275 wide tire until he sent me pics of his 265's on a 9.5" wheel. Also thanks to J3FF3R$ON for help with the offsets.

I'll post new pics when the wheels/tires actually show up. I don't really know how much modding I'm going to do with the FX... gotta save up for a turbo kit for my beloved Genesis Coupe  But we'll see what happens!

Thanks for all the help thus far IS!

^agreed. Probably going to black out ALL of the chrome trimmings except for the Infiniti emblems. Gonna do those in an undetermined accent color and carry that same color onto the sides of the spokes on the wheels. I'm thinking white or a shade of blue...

I used regular spray paint from Walmart. Can't remember the name but found it covers the best

Update:
Got the grille all painted up and matching now. Still gotta buff it with some polishing compound to give it the glass look... but it'll do for now. And, still waiting on my wheels/tires :disapointed:

^where's that at?

LMFAO @ that.... I had no idea there was a cover.... I had to have it painted, it was the first thing my eyes went to on my 07 and its silver!!

Looks amazing Tilly, cant wait to see it with the wheels/tires!

Wish my husband had the patience to do my headlights. I am not allowed to touch tools and god knows what damage I would do trying to paint something myself!

haha! Pulling the headlights apart really isn't that hard. The biggest PITA is actually getting the headlight assembly off the damn truck! But, if you've never painted with a rattle can before, I would DEFINITELY recommend practicing first!
