Now that i got my rims on i feel the need to start my own picture thread :tongue (2):
The weather's been pretty bad these few weeks with heavy rain on and off so I haven't got a chance to clean it up. Once i spent some time detailling it the dirty picture will be gone, replace by clean shiny car pics with better camera than my iphone.

oopsies by the guy mounting the tires :( and a horrible touchup paint job from the same guy...... not really feeling the lug nuts =\ they look like the same color when i was picking it out, not even close lol.

The wheels look nice on the car, buuuuttt something isn't quite right.... the silver bits are really irritating now and it needs a drop (holding out for coilovers) I'm 99% sure i will painted the vents and the grill gloss black (except the chrome infiniti logo on grill) but i'm not too sure what i want to do with the roof rails and the lower silver piece beneath the doors. should i just gloss black it as well or should i try to color match it with the gtr rims? photoshop job from the pros would be great:tongue (2)::smile:

Wow that looks HAWT!!:tup::tup:

Bro your front windows need tinted sooooo bad:tongue (2):

If I were you, I would of made the tire mounting guy pay for the damage he did to your rim. My wheel and tire guy knows better to not do things like that. That's why when they own a business, they better make sure they have insurance. The reason why is if they damage someone's car in the process, you can almost certainly expect me to make those bastards pay for it.

Thanks guys :)

oh and the lugs has a little notch on it, needs a special key. I don't know how effective it would be though...

The guys at the shop offer to pay for 1/2 of the repair anytime in the future if i do curb or otherwise damage that rim. They are highly rated and does alot of high end euro rides and deal with expensive rims everyday, i guess i caught them on a bad day :( that or they were mad that i was hella late for my appointment

the silver accents are really getting on my nerves. what do you guys think about blacking out all the silver or getting it color match with the rims?

i think i'm going to keep the chrome though

EDIT: and fire, i wish front window tinting is legal here :( it really makes a big different in terms of look and theft deterrence. I may go ahead and tint it in the future when i've ran out of mods to do :p just to see how long i can have it till i get pull over lol

Do the trim in black obsidian

Looks good bro!! Drop it with the eibachs that are coming out.

Looks like GTR wheels are the mod of the year for the 2nd gen.

They kinda stick out a little bit huh?
Don't forget your wheel locks.

they stick out alot more than i expect. the gtr rims on the 1st gen seems to be more flushed than poke.but than again all of them had sum type of lowering.

Not too concern with the wheel poke atm, i will just drive carefully through dirt roads. Will it affect lowering in the future? ?

The thing with color matching is that there is no paint code for the gtr rim colors. I don't think it will ever be an exact color match.

wheels looks hot on your ride. maybe some eibachs when they come out.

btw, house is ready for Christmas already!? (lights) :wink (2):

lmao, I was thinking the same thing:eek.:

Either that or he was just too lazy to take them down from last year:tongue (2)::tongue (2):

When you do the drop (IMO hold out for coil overs) the negative camber will pull the rear wheel tops back in and the "poke" will be minimized. My rears were the same fitment and after lowering they pulled in quite a bit......

oh and the xmas decoration has been there since 1998 :wink (2): i even turn them on last night for halloween lol

BBK is definitively on the to do list :D

saving up for bbk or coilover which ever happens first haha

but the first order of business if to do sumthing about the silver bits, hopefully before the snow comes
