The other day I stained some the siding on my house. The following day I happen to touch the hood on my FX. Holy Crap, my FX and my Accord are covered with semi-transparent seqouia colored stain. Nevermind that this overspray obviously had all the magical properties of the "magic lugie" from the Seifeld episode with Keith Hernandez, I couldn't believe the stuff had gone around a corner and about 40 feet down the driveway. At this point it had been just under 24 hours so I rushed into town to pick up a clay kit. I've never used clay before but I'd heard it was pretty good for overspray. Fortunately this stuff worked like a charm so much elbow grease later both of the cars were once again looking good and feeling smooth. I'm sure it helped that both cars had Opti-Seal on them. I'd been meaning to get a clay kit before this but never quite got around to it but the stuff sure worked great for me. I think I'll cover the cars before I apply the second coat. :eek.:
