Test drive FX30d

Tomorrow I will do a test drive of new FX with diesel engine. I've been driving diesel cars for last 10 year so be able to make a test it properly. Its flexibility, torque, a "turbo hole" ( duno how to call it - means lag after the pedal pressing and turbo reactions - if there is any). Will see and share

Its II gen so can only compare with FX50s that I drove month ago but ... nothing can compare with this car

yes its called "turbo lag", but i don't think the 30d has a turbo does it?

hehe sure it does! You will not find a modern diesel engine without turbo! even if its not mentioned in its name/initials ex. DiD, CRD, there is turbo for sure.

That article is incredibly detailed! A couple highlights:
1. The single turbo is situated between the cylinder heads, in the "vee".
2. The press release claims that, in regard to the engine noise, "the only way the driver will know what's under the (hood) is to look at the (tach) and see where the redline falls."
3. Est 31.4mpg.
4. 407ft/lbs

The only problem I see is that the diesel gets to 62 in 8.3 seconds whereas the 35 gets to 60 in 5.9.

I have nothing against diesels but this is kinda lame... owning the fx35 and knowing what it can do i would never buy this.:tongue (2):
