Tesla Model X

So I (like a few others on here) have been checking out the Jeep SRT...thinking of possibly trying to see if anyone wants to buy out the lease on my FX and take it "as-is" plus a little extra for all the work and mods I've done to it.

Last night I was just randomly searching things and decided to look up Tesla motors...have you guys checked this thing out ?!?!?!?!

Thoughts ?

0-60 in under 5 seconds ? WOW !!!

based upon what the model S looks like this will be a hit as well I just rather not rely on batteries because you never know unless the recharge stations get common like gas stations I would think about it but dropping that much dollars on a car and having to have a second means of transportation (just in case) is not satisfying enough.

Many of us thought the FX was perfect stock. Until we stumbled onto iS.....

Most modded GTRs I've seen look like shit. And at the same time, I believe the wheels were especially designed to compliment other functions.

No offense but not all the modded FXs I've seen here or elsewhere are all that great either

To be unique, more speed/power, mod bug, never enough.... Etc

More power? Seriously? Most can't even or don't even drive the GTR the way it's meant to be driven. It's like people wanting to buy the best damn cameras and lenses, yet don't even fully understand photography (or ever will)

Just my opionion bit for that money I would get a used GTR spend the rest on mod.money.

From what I've found so far they said pricing was $ 50 - $75K...is that not FX price range ???

On top of that...the GTS may START at $ 83K...but when you add things like Air Conditioning (ok, I'm joking), etc...a fully loaded one is easily over $ 100K

Ive seen a few used 09 gtr models at dealers near me ranging from $58K-$77K. You can get some pretty good deals on 09 models with like 20K miles odometer.

As to the comment about modding them, most of the people I know that mod them do take advantage of the power the gtr offers because they track them alot. Plus most of the people who buy them and mod them have alot of cash to throw around and just mod merely for bragging rights.

I can't compare a car that's 4+ years old to a brand new model...it's just not apples to apples to me...especially when you're talking about an electric car vs. a Porsche. The point I was trying to make is that this Tesla is in the FX price range and it's another option (for some, obviously not everybody) to at least look at. It's all personal preference.
