Tear in seat?

I have a tear on driver's seat,on a new car. No idea how it got there. I just noticed it today,2 weeks after owning the car. it is next to my shoulder. Very small and 3 of tears,like someone touched it with sharp obejcts and scratched it.

It is 2010 FX35 awd with graphite interior

How much will cost to repair? Where best place to do?
 
I treat my car nice,and there is no way i would make tear on purpose as it is 50k car and i treat it very nice. And that small scuff/tears close about 0.5 inch from stiches and is sux to notice on a new car :-(

So what are my suggestions? :-) Will dealer replace it,as it is less than 1 month since i own it and under warranty and it can't be normal wear for 1 month old car
 
Did you bring your car in for service recently? Something similar happened to me. I brought my car in two weeks ago for service that included replacing the seat rails under the TSB. On my way driving home, I noticed the seat rattles when press down on the tip of the bottom part of the seat, near the knees. It doesnt really rattle, it just makes a really annoying sound. Anyways I when I got home, the corner had a tear and rip in it as well. I swear ive had this car for a year now and never noticed that tear in it. also the leather had a crease in the seat and the buttons for the controls where filthy, like dust and dirt from years of not cleaning. I told the service advisor this wasnt my seat and offered my explanations. I dropped off my car yesterday for a new dash and he said he would talk to his manager about the seat. Hopefully they can at least repair it or something, well see.
 
Well i didn't have any service done yet. So there is no way service guy done it. I think i bought it this way,an never paid attention :-( I feel sux to have tears on a brand new car,my 8 years old BMW didn't even have a small tear :-(

Any ideas how to make infiniti replace it?

the leather seat on my 09 is looking pretty worn too. while the leather isn't tear, there is a few spot that lookslike sum1 scratched it will sumthing like it say. I would say it is starting to crack.

Last time when I took it into service I talk to the warranty department about this. Took them out to the car and point to the problem, they say there is nothing they can do about it as the leather on the seats are consider normal wear and tear items. And at the condition i present them there is nothing they can even do about it. He basically told me to come back when it completely tears apart and see what he can do for me.....

I'm quite mad, the warranty guy even reassure me that it is REAL leather to which i object. I told them the cheaper cars i have own with leather seat that looks better after 4 year than my fx's seat after less than a year, he basically just shrugs it off.
 
They say i did it :-( Even i wipe this leather almost everyday with leather wipes,and that rips came by itself from me moving in a seat or something :-( Very poor sensitive leather

Any ideaS?
 
wow bro you should take that back to change the chair you should have 60days, when they were giving me my new fx they were giving me the showroom fx and when I was taking it the driver wheel had a bad similar scratch and the next day I took it back and they change it with a new fx from their car lot in the back part of the dealer and I saw it was rapt all over in white paper even the wheels and all the leather was papered.. If I were you I would take it don’t let them step on you! :smile:
