I read one of Tko's thread about getting a dash mat and was wondering if anyone here on the forums purchased this: autoanything.com/dash-mats/60A4600A0A0A3192850.aspx

There are two good reviews for the Fx and one was very recent too for an '04 in FL. Im thinking maybe tko? I don't have the bubbling problem yet on my '04 but im getting some minor blistering around the speaker grills instead. Just want to know if anyone here has this and some pics and more depth review would be appreciated!

Thanks!

(Sorry I cant post a link, dont have enough posts yet, lol)

I do have the dash bubbling problem and have seen this cover advertisement in the past. I have been trying to make my own dash cover without much success. I'm going to order this one to see how it fits - never seen any photos of it installed on an FX, so I have been hesitant to try it out. For 55 bucks, I guess I'm ready to give it a try now. Will post photos after installation...

Ya I saw how you made that cardboard template in a previous post. Sorry it didnt work out. My biggest concern really is if this one for sale covers the airbag and hangs down on it like in the picture (Looks like the Murano interior).I prefer not to have that, looks too cheesy to me.

It would be a great buy if the suede one was nice and thin and covered just the top part only.

I have to believe they thought of that when they designed it. But if the cover does go over the airbag, I might have to modify it.

I haven't completely given up on my DIY design - but I need a sewing machine (and skills) to take it the rest of the way. I was going to have my mom help out, but she's in a different city and I need to work with her to get it done. If this autoanything cover works out, I'll have a lot less motivation to keep working on my own.

I'll let you know how the new one works out...

I got that cover and it DOES go over the airbag which i will change soo i dont think it looks very good that way either. The only cutouts on the dash mat are for the light senseors and the defrosters, NO speaker cut outs, but it doesnt seem to affect the sound too noticably the one i got was 35$ off of ebay

I would think that the airbag would just push the dash mat out of the way considering the tremendous force involved in the deployment but its definitely not something you'd want to find out the hard way!

Dash mat arrived and installed! For the money it's great - completely covers the dash and makes it look more clean since it covers the speaker grills as well. I'm not a huge fan about how it comes down and covers the passenger side airbag, but I can tell it would have no impact on airbag deployment. It also surrounds the passenger side air vent. I'll post photos later today. Would absolutely recommend to anybody who has a bubbling dash and is out of warranty.

I do think you could trim the extra portion - there is a sewn seam at the bend that could be removed by un-stitching it. You would then have an un-finished edge which you would need to repair by sewing on some edge trim. Super simple for anybody with a sewing machine or any upholstery shop. We're only talking about 24 inches of trim. Here are some photos:

The dash kit actually comes with a curved cover for the instrument panel. I put it on there to see how it looked and decided against it. Reminded me of a yarmulke.

In the above picture^^^ you can see my only two gripes with the cover. The fitment is juuuust a bit off at the lower left corner. On the right bottom side of the photo, there's a brand tag that's getting deleted. It's sewn in to the edge trim so I'll cut those threads and hand stitch the edge trim back.

jumbo which website did u purchase this cover .? im really interested in purchasing one .

something to keep in mind with autoanything with returns. phone reps are nice, but twice details were left out with the manufacturers and now nearly a month i end up with 2 sets of mats with the same fitment issue. p.s. both occasions, tracking info was sent a week later and the day item is being delivered.

i just wanted to get a set of decent mats for my other car. sorry for being out of topic.
