Hello All,

Just finished CAI mod to my FX37. Used a Stillen 3rd gen ultra long dual intake. Take a look at the pictures. I haven't seen any other posts on the forum with this mod yet. If you have any questions let me know.

Couple of things that had to be done to complete this.
1. Had to relocate the black box on the passenger side because its original position is in the way of the CAI new hole.
2. Had to purchase 1.25'' by 1.25'' air duct foam to create a snug fit that looked fairly factory. You can see it in the photos
3. 370z intake has 2 input ports beside the main 2.5" that are the same size. The FX37 has 2 different size ports. Had to purchase a black hose with an ID of 7/8'' to connect this odd size change between engines.
4. Drill 2x holes through the radiator support to pipe the intake through.

Noticable difference in power. Nice sound now. Got it used from a 2010 370z off eBay. Took 2 hours to install start to finish.

Yea, I would put them up on here directly but im being limited since I dont have enough comments yet to post directly. Just create a photobucket account and they will appear. Im not trying to advertise for them either. It was just secure and free method of posting images.

Thanks for posting them up Dracula. I agree I would be a bit concerned if you had to drive in heavy rains.

np, i understand if you lived in a dry climate, or if used it only for summer time it would work. But on a rainy and wintery months, thats looking for trouble.

Interesting I never thought about water against the filters, I have a few G37 friends with the Gen 3's here in vancouver. I'll ask them about it.

I guess you could always put one of those intake socks which repel water over the two filters.

Yep, they have a shield setup, should work decently well.

Looks good. Any CEL issues or notable changes in performance (positive or negative)? I used to have a 2010 370Z - at the time people were hesitant to install CAIs since there minimal gains and some were throwing codes.

Heys guys what is the differents between the Stillen 3gen 2010 370z CAI and the Stillen 3gen 2010 350z?
The reason I ask is I would like to do this MOD Asap. But im not sure which Stillen CAI to order. I have 2010 FX35.

My experience in researching if you get the intake for either the 3.5L or 3.7L it will work. I believe the throttle body neck is the same size on both if im not mistaken. If you have a 2010 I would shoot for the 370z model Stillen 3 Gen since it was present in 2010 and the 350z was not.

As far as power increases I have noticed a mild increase in horsepower but that's irrelevant until I get it on a dyno. I am trying to do either an under drive pulley for the 370z on the fx37 next or the stillen/z1 headers with a HFC extension. I think between those two I will get a little more increase in power to the wheels.

I will be posting pictures of the PB Brake kit I did momentarily.

Thank you so much for that very helpful information. I have been going back and forth with this mod searching forums and Internet for two month. I can finally pull the trigger and get this Mod started. Let me know if you come across any info on the rain (water dispersment) issue. I believe between the AEM hydroblock sock and the stillen shield it should work just fine. But I maybe wrong. Maybe small peice of black patio screen behind the grill will keep even more water out.
