Spacers on 2009 FX35

Great site. Anyone have wheel spacers on their 2009 FX35? H & R does not have the spacers, but Ichiba does. Ichiba's website says to measure from the widest part of the tire to the inside of the fender lip. On the front, it's almost there ~.25 inches. The back is about .75 inches. Do you measure from the inside or outside of the fender? Also planning on replacing the tires with 275/45/20 later. Should I wait?

Thanks

The spacers I don't know.

But for the tires...

I guess the benefit is you can possibly get more money if you sell the stock tires now since they're practically new. How much do you think you can get for your stock tires?

I also want to mount spacers but only in the back. I have 265/60R18 tires for the winter and 285/35R22 for the summer and i was thinking at Ichiba's V1 10mm. I also measured at the back the distance between the fender and the widest part of the tire and it's about 1.5-1.6 inches long. With the 10 mm spacer i say the back would stick enough to match the front. This is only for the stock's 18". With the summer wheels on it will look even. It depends what offset do you have....

Hey guys, I'm curious about this too. I have an '09 FX with AWD and would like to know about any potential long term damage to any of the handling systems that could result from adding spacers. Does anyone have any stories or experiences they want to share?

I've got the 18" oem wheels which I like - and don't want to change these. I've looked at going up to 275/60/18 or 285/55/18 on the tires to give the 'FX a wider stance (I'd prefer esp the rear tires to at least come out to where the fender well ends). Being that these won't make too much of a difference, I was curious about spacers but have concerns about what they'd do to my cars chasis long term. Thanks for the input.

Don't know why the before picture is smaller. Any suggestions? The 25 mm spacers brought the tire to the outside lip of the fender. Perfect. The fronts would need the 15 mm to match the rear. Maybe later. I plan on lowering the car when the H & R s become available.

That's exactly the look I'm going for - they look really good. Can I ask where you got your spacers from and how much $$? And did you install them yourself? If so, any precautions that were needed?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I got my 25 mm Ichiba V2 spacers from Amazon.com for $150 delivered. They were very easy to install. All I needed was a jack, jack stands, and a torque wrench. I also used a wire brush and WD40 to remove corrosion between the rim and hub.

1" space to outer lip of fender.

I did not do the fronts. There is a .25" difference between the right and the left. The camber may be off. The max I can go is 15 mm, or ~.5" to reach the fender lip. I may do it once I see how it looks with the car lowered. I'm waiting for the H & Rs.
