hey guys, i dont know which jerkoff had gel or something in their hair and was in the backseat trying to change the music and got up and left an imprint on the ceiling ;/ i have a beige interior / almond, any recommendations on removing this? i have the turtlewax stain remover which works wonders on the carpets in the car, but havent tried it on the ceiling,, thanks guys

Whatever you do don't use any harsh chemicals to clean the headliner. You run the risk of staining te headliner more. Also try not to get the headliner too wet otherwise it will leave a dry water spot stain. I've seen it happen so many times.

What I recommend using is Folex. Its safe on most fabrics and doesn't require rinsing so it won't leave the oily soapy residue left behind like most cleaners and stain removers do. Home Depot and Lowes sells it.

There is make up in my passenger side .....will folex work?

I'd be interested to know how that makeup got on your headliner...

Hey Jonas I remember that was one of your first concerns back when you first joined IS and bought your FX. The stains on the side of the headliner on the pillar lol. Yes I have a good memory :) lol

Yep! All from your suggestion and love it! My headliner is spic and span b/c of folex! :) Just put a little bit on a microfiber towel and very gently watch the dirt disappear. :))))

Am the only person that drive my car ....the make up is on the passenger side....and I don't know who did it don't want to point it out to my girlfriend it might not be her shade.......

You don't drive your own car? Ha!

Nope, I have the graphite interior. Best decision ever:top::tongue (2):

Very good info, i had stains on the headliner cleaned it with some kind of headliner cleaner, now i have stains from that cleaning. Hopefully the follex will take care of

Most automotive headliners are nylon, cloth, and foam. For some reason the foam and cloth in the headliners don't take water too well and cause hard water spot stains in the headliner if you even attempt to clean it. I see that's what happened to yours Dracula. Soaking the headliner with water also might make the cloth seperate from the foam back since they use adhesive to join them together. I would just be really delicate and gentle with how you clean it and what product to use.

fire0nic i made the mistake of gettin the almond one ;( its easier on the eyes but ;/ takes a lotta effort to keep her clean, especially if you smoke, jeans stains, so so lame ;/

FOLEX is an awesome surfactant. Spray on a clean white cotton towel or T-shirt and lay it on the fabric (like the headliner) and it will draw out the stain.

FOLEX is the best and it is totally organic. One ff my daughters got black makeup on my ceiling and FOLEX cleaned it off completely best stuff ever. I use it on everything even laundry stains even works on blood stains.
