You guys make white look real SEXY:good: I've never thought of even looking at white till I saw the SEXY whites on here......................... mind blowing man!

What kind of paint did you use? (plastidip???) What about the the exhaust tips (some high-temperature paint???)

I used Plastidip on everything. I read up a lot on using PlastiDip on exhaust tips and everyone just assumes that it will burn off and some people doesn't have any problems. I did my parent's LS600hL tips 8 months ago and it held up very well. But then again those tips are for show and part of the bumper so they might not get as hot.
I used PlastiDip on the inside of my tips on another car to cover the rust and haven't had any problems yet so I'll see how the outside of the tips will hold up. If it burns off i'll just get some high temp paint.

So how much of a pain was it to get it all off and what kind of cleanup did you have to do after?

Biggest pain in the ass in the world but i still stand behind the product and will continue to use it on small stuff. The reason my car was so bad was because white acts a lot different then other colors.

Here's a thread i made on DipYourCar
http://www.dipyourcar.com/forums/sh...old-Plasti-Dip-hard-to-take-off-feels-brittle

Here's a video that Fonzie made to help explain why it happened and how to properly use the white. At the time that i did my car no one really knew how much product we needed for different size vehicles and no one really knew that the white acts differently. I've messed with the black a lot and if you do enough coats, it comes off easily.

Wow, that sucks. Interesting that they would behave differently though. One hell of a thread running over there as well. :)

^^Haha. The black on black look is sort of what I am going for too. Just wondering, not to jack the thread or anything but what tint film did you use? I love the black tails instead of the bright red.

My taillights are painted with 3 coats of thinned out automotive paint then clear coated. If you want to use a film try this one. I've used the dark before and it works great
