Hey Guys,

Loving my 2007 FX35 AWD that I picked up a few months back. So far she is been amazing moshallah knock on wood. Just sold the Kleeman Stage II E55 AMG (580HP), and looking to prepare for the winter season. Been contemplating between FX45 AWD or a 2006 BMW X5 4.8IS. Which one should I chose, and why? I test drove the X5 4.8IS. The engine noise is insane, and the handling is superb. I haven't test driven the FX45 AWD. I'd assume it drives the same as my FX35, but probably little faster in the straight line. Any input is given is appreciated.

My son in law has a 2006 X5 4.8is with a full DINAN system and that is one incredible suv. And it's sooooo loud, I have a fx45 and 35 and the x5 performs better but a lowered fx feels tighter. Both great vehicles.

You make a great point about already having the FX35. Here are some FB Pictures:

I would go for the BMW too and seriously consider the DINAN package, it's a noticeable difference, especially in the sound. Sounds so mean

I've never driven an x5. That said, you can always make an FX faster (FI), louder (exhaust), and more comfortable (coil overs), but you can't make an x5 less ugly, more reliable, or cheaper to maintain.

Amazing. Is it possible to save a post under favorites or something like that?

I love the honesty on this board. On any other forum, everyone would be a FANBOY. I made the same thread on XOUTPOST, and the responses were the same. I'm sold on the X54.8IS. I just hope the dealer is willing to work with me. This particular dealer, rather sit on their car for three months and get $200 extra than move the car for a quick sale. I've only gotten 1000 off. I'm going to go sit again on Saturday hopefully they'll finish it with. Anyone here have access to WWW.Galves.Com

nice car.... and model (wifey I assume).

I love Infiniti reliability, but there is no comparison in the heart and soul of the car vs a BMW. BMW feels so solid, but comes at a price. My wife's 3 series is rock solid at any speed and just has that quality feel.

I have a love hate relationship with BMW. But I'd buy a X6 M or X5 M in a heart beat over a FX50s.

For my daily driver, the fx45 will do, which I will keep until it blows up or dies. It's been so versatile for me.
