r35 gtr oem exhaust on fx35?

hey guys im looking foward to start modding my fx this summer and wanted to start off with an exhaust mod. originally i was thinking about berk test pipes and flowmaster 80 series but i came across a gtr oem exhaust for around the same price. Has anyone on here done a gtr exhaust before? Whats the size of our stock exhaust and size of the gtr stock exhuast? ive searched that and came across many different answers so im not sure. Also all labor is basically free for me so im not too worried about that. thanks for the input guys.

also not sure why this came up under fx50s but i have an 2005 fx35
 
Im sure ill find a way to get it to work out im just curious about the size of piping before i get into it. Also alittle worried it might be too loud. Dont want to be obnoxious but definitely want it to scream at wot. Hopefully all goes well. Havent seen anyone on here with it im going to continue searching on 350z and g35 forums
 
^probably because it will require ALOT of modification when there are quote a few aftermarket systems to choose from. It might be worthwhile for you if labor is free. Definetly post up a sound clip if you succeed.
 
yea definitely alot of modification to do it. The price im getting it for plus free labor is definitely worth it in my opinion to try it out. btw this is only the midpipe and muffler section im doing. im leaving the stock y pipe and cats. If i pull the trigger on it and get it done ill definitely post up some vids and pictures. only thing im trying to figure out now is the size (diameter) of the stock fx35 pipes and oem gtr pipes. Most likely will pull the trigger after figuring this out and install after my finals in about 2-3 weeks. I believe the gtr pipes are 3" but i could be mistaken.
 
You would need to do some work to the rear bumper to make those quad exhausts look proper as well...

Not going with the quad tips. Might reuse the stock tips not sure yet. I personally dont like how the quad tips look

Yea it might be alot of labor but for $250 for the mid pipe an exhaust i think its worth a try. And the semester is over in about 2 weeks for me so i might as well make myself useful doin something over the summer :smile (2):

Yea just talked to my cousin about it and will pull the trigger on it. Will order tonight and install within 3-4 weeks. Wouldve done it early but hes busy with work and i have finals week coming up :disapointed:
 
The muffler is here got it friday in the mail! Hopefully installation by next weekend depending on how busy i am. Pics and vids to come even though i dont have any idea how to upload it on here
