Hi Fellows,
After I changed my wheels it's time to think about changing rusty rotors to complete the look.
I reviewed multiple websites, and pretty much on every one of them I see POWERSTOP brakes Kits are in MOST POPULAR with fairly good reviews.

POWERSTOP Evolution Kit:
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/s...ad_Kit/2010/Base/6_Cyl_3-dot-5L/P15K4477.html

POWERSTOP Street Warrior Kit:
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/s..._Kit/2010/Base/6_Cyl_3-dot-5L/P15K447726.html

Both kits, cost under $450.00 USD which make it sounds like a good deal, but knowing the fact "you get, what you pay for" I want to ask if everyone used any of the POWERSTOP products? Will they work fine with 2010 FX35?
What are your thoughts about it?

Thanks!

^^ Pretty much and it's going to be about the same as anything in it's price range. I've run them in the past without issues. Most rotors are made by a few companies and re-branded. Only higher end brands make their rotors in house usually.

was also looking to get the regular (not warrior) 1-click kit.
Seems reasonable to ship to canada and pay for labour to install.

I also found a direct replacement StopTech Rotors & Pads kits, around the same price tag, so no I'm thinking to go with StopTech or Powerstop kind rotors. At least StopTech does BBK's so I wonder if I should go with them.

Bradlex, have you made the purchase of the powers top kits yet? I just order the evolution kit for my 2000 acura tl front brakes today. Hopefully I can have that installed this weekend. If it work well I will order a kit for the fx. For the fx I'm debating if I should go with the evolution or street warrior. Thoughts? Both cars are daily drivers.

Actually I gave up an idea to buy them and purchased Akebono brakes kit with stoptech slotted rotors.

Ah ok, how are you like the set you have now? Improvement or same? I am getting close to a brake job soon but definitely slotted and x-drilled will be the choice.

Huge improvement from the stock brakes, I run akebono calipers with project mu pads on slotted stoptech rotors front and rear and it was one of the best investments/upgrades for my FX so far.

Thanks for the insight. I just ordered the powerstop kit drilled and slotted front and rear for the fx. Will have it installed in the next couple of weeks and post you. Thanks again.

I'm not sure if powerstop kit will have the same power as akebono kit, but still it should be stronger than stock.

So what did you guys think of the Powerstop kit?
I bought the set for my 2004 and I thought it was OK
After 2 years I had vibration in the steering wheel so then I bought centric rotors blanks with akebono pads and was not as happy as I was when I first bought this power stop
Now I am reconsidering these for 2nd generation FX

It's been close to a year with 13k miles on the z26 warrior and happy as can be! It's absolutely night and day from stock when you really get on them hard. I get no brake fade when zipping around the steep hills. I do a lot of mix driving from city traffic to quick on/off the freeway. I've also hooked up a decent size trailer and didn't feel any incompetency driving locally and highway. The pads still has plenty of meat and disc barely has a groove at the pad wear area. I also feel no warping in the disc but then again it's still pretty fresh.

Given the pads are carbon & ceramic, the pedal feel is slightly different from stock...I guess more of direct feel as suppose to a soft plush. I do have to say when initial braking in the morning from sitting over night in the cold is less grabby but that goes away in matter of 15 seconds of braking. It's certainly not a con in my book but worth mentioning. Presumably it's b/c of the carbon & ceramic compound.

Nice do have any pedal vibration or feedback ? I had a set on my IS300 5 years ago and when ever the pads hit the slot and holes you got slight vibration in the brake pedal. Then had same poweerstop rotor and brake set on my 1st gen FX35 and didn't have that feel/issue at all just issue with warping after 2.5 years. Perhaps I just needed to replace the pads? I had the standard set which they call the "street" I believe. I may consider the Z26 as my brakes wear as replacement over stocks.

No vibration at all just a firmer pedal feel from stock. I also have the z16 (possibly the street series) with solid blank disc on my 2000 Acura TL and its been close to a year old as well...no issues at all but again it's still young. Hopefully it hold up...I've been pretty happy with Powerstop setup so far.

The pedal vibration and warping is usually related to the rotors becoming hot and cooled rapidly, hot spots when coming to a dead stop, etc (I'm sure others here can provide further explanation on how that works) but maybe the drilled and slot can help.

Thanks for that info.Is there another set or combo I should consider ? The price for full set of Power Stop K4477-26 1-Click Street Warrior Z26 Brake Kit
Is under $340 shipped. For that price seems hard to pass up anything else better in that price range that you can remember?
