It isn't that bad. However the receiver is buried and in my case the bike rack (Sportworks now known as the Thule T2) cannot fold up without a hitch extension. That puts the bikerack and very very far away from the back of the FX if I run the extension. I have no probelms with clearance though, but i am careful as I don't want the FX/bikes to get damaged.

Of course the only experience I have is with this bikerack on the FX. I can attest to the fact that everything is solid into the triple digits lol.

That's crazy to haul a boat with an FX. There's probably not a lot of hills where he lives. My buddy's Rover Sport S/C went to safe mode trying to go to Lake Pyramid one time. Luckily, I took my Titan along and hauled the boat on the way back (with ease.) I don't know if an FX can make it up that steep of a grade hauling a boat.

Sram X.7 shifters, X.7 rear derailleur, Deore front deraillure, SRAM X.7 shifters, 9-speed rear cassette 11 - 34 teeth, not sure on the front...but it is a Stylo crankset which was replaced by SRAM cause the old one shredded itself.

I am keeping this bike and upgrading it over time. Other rigs are a Raleigh Mojave 8.0 and Masi Alare...not too shabby for a fat kid now starting to get back into it lol.

thats awesome. i think my son has the sram X.0 rear derailleur and the X.9 shifters. i dont know what else he has, but i am always finding bills on my credit card from him on his web sites haha
