I decided to polish my illuminated kick plates today with Meguiar's Metal polish which is safe on brass, aluminum, chrome, etc. The kick plates are made of aluminum so I decided to polish them. They were beginning to look tarnished, and had some deep scratches all over them.

They look even better in person. All the scratches and scuffs are gone :tup:

I was about to buy new ones since mine were starting to look tired and messed up, but now they look brand new again! I'll take some night time pictures later so that you can see them better when their illuminated.

Next I'm going to do the exhaust tips.

Looks good. I polished mine a few weeks back just using some turtle wax chrome polish and it turned out really good. Fire0nic3 how do you like your illuminated kick plates? I really want to get a set.

I love them. I think they go good when you have an LED lit interior with it. The white LED's on them that make the kick plates light up compliment the interior at night time.

Ok yeah i might have to pull the trigger then on the kick plates. I recently did all the interior lights in LED and it def would look sick with the kick plates.

Thanks Andrew!

Hey what happened to your vendor badge on here?

would you be interested in having them polished to a mirror finish? we do some polishing here too.

No thanks, Im happy with the way they came out. Plus the kick plates never came with a mirror finish when I bought the car.

Looks good! I'm about to order a set myself. I usually order my Infiniti parts from Riverside Infiniti in Cali. I'll check my local dealer if they are running any specials as well.

Just curious to know, what polishing product did you use?

Thanks!

Thanks Andrew!

i dont think i ever had a vendor badge lol. gotta send a PM to a moderator i guess lol.
Andrew...I've heard good things about you....too bad you are not near me  Hard to find good honest people that know what they are doing and for a good price these days.
thank you very much. if you get a bunch of cars for me to detail i can take a trip up to where your located. group of people would split all expenses, hotel, plane ticket for me & one of my workers.
let me know if you are serious about setting something up.

I can definately vouch for Andrew's work. I took mine back to him this past summer cause I had alot of swirl marks on my car. Being a black car, it showed all surface imperfections. He did such a good job of removing them, and is a honest up front guy. If your not happy, he's not happy. What makes it really good is that it's top notch quality work, but at insanely cheap prices. I will definately be going back to him after winter is over for another paint correction.
