Hey guys have any of you used Plasti dip for and mod on your car? I'm planing as soon as i get my baby on Thursday to Plasti dip my Vents, grill, thinking of the badges and maybe roof racks.. i saw this guy from myg37.com he did his roof and grill and taillights and man it looked sickkkkk and the best part is when you get tired you just pill it off as simple as that, and you have your OEM back like before! and no i have asked and it won't pill or crack without any effort to do so! its sound so good....:wink (2):

such a place as wheels and the front grille, i don't think plastidip spray has any chance of holding up well. i did my grill with a can and the result was ok. but there was no shine to it. totally flat. i also had rock chips here n there so i used another can and added 2 coats of plastidip clear coat spray. that turned out to be a huge disappointment coz i had white spot marks everywhere. i peeled it off coz it looked odd with powder coated wheels. you're better off with liquid plastidip and the more the coats, the better. but as always, preparation is the key. I don't know how someone could plastidip the tail lights tho....:confused:
 
I want to try it on chrome. if he does not get off it, then we can remove the vinil and cover the whole of chrome by plasti dip:) i've got OEM grill for trial-trip:)
 
damn i cant wait i think my car comes out so as soon as i buy this plasti dip i make my mods and ill post pictures for you guys! and if i don't like it ill just pill it off.. :P
 
Are you going to plasti dip the upper and lower chrome strips on the grill? I did mine matte black and it looks good.
 
mmmm that sounds hot i was thinking of the full grill im not sure yet! im getting it this wednesday can wait..... what do you guys think i should plsti dip???? i will get 1 can red and 3 cans black!!
 
I was a doubter of plasti-dip until i did my research. That's what i did my wheels with and it's doing great. 4 coats.

I'll take some pics this weekend. It has almost been a month.
