Hello all, i'm sorry it's been a while i posted, but here we go, i dipped everything that was chrome on the outside of the car, however i'm having issues with the door handles. they came out nice, but after a week they start to peal on the inside... any way i can go around it? maybe someone can suggest a way... thanks,

also i'm dipping my rims this weekend.

Hmm, did you remove the handles to do the dip? You need an even coat on all sides to stand up to constant touching. It will never be the most durable finish, but if you spray it thick and even on all sides, including the inside, of the handle, they should last a long time. Mine were done for near a year, and I chose to remove them. There was no pealing.

However, if you want the most durable finish, strip and finish them the colour you want with paint.

thank you very much, i'm missing a few posts in order to put up pictures. i will do the handles on the weekend, and i'll post pictures.

once again i appreciate the help.

THANK YOU

it is done now, however the dip is pealing off from the handles, i will take it off and re do it over the weekend along with dipping the wheels, however my wheels are 18" but i think they will look decent as well.

I agree, the 18" never look bad dark. I am running dark 18" G37 wheels, and I think they look great. They get a lot of attention as well. Roads here are just too rough for 20" wheels, ride is too harsh.

true that...

i know it's out of topic, but how do i upload pictures, do i have to do it throuth URL or is there a way to get it straight from my PC?

sorry for so many question .

No worries. Everyone here is happy to help newcomers out and grow the scene.

Either this ---> https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=19316-Posting-Images-Using-Photobucket

Or, in your message box you can see a set of toolbars. The one on the far right has the upload image option in it. Click the correct one, third from the right I believe. Open it, select "from computer", browse for image, and select then upload to your chat window. Then post the message.

thanks, im trying. will post pics of the rims and redone handles once they are done. one last question, when i take out the driver handle, will i have issues with the locking mechanism there?

You shouldn't. With the driver's side, I would say to leave the lock mechanism attached and clip off the chrome/plastic cover, take it with you, dip, and reattach. When you get it pulled out, you will see the tabs holding the chrome to the keyhole. It is pretty clear on how to separate the two. I am always a fan of avoiding extra messing around.
