Yeah idk if that will happen anytime soon but i had a dream that my car was all matte black with a glossy black grill and wheels, Dark tinted windows, blacked out headlights. It has me thinking about doing it.

i googled vinyl wrap stuff and a lot of people are saying the wrap last for about 2-5 years. So many mixed reviews saying vinyl wrap looks odd up close and etc but dont a lot of celebs wrap their cars?

yeah that looks clean like most ive seen. People who apply vinyl wrap make it look so easy to where i think i can do it since some vinyl wraps you can stick on and un peel and take any wrinkles out with a heat gun its almost like you can mess up.

Wrap it for sure. Go with a satin finish instead, not a matte one, looks much better. It will be easier to maintain than paint. A good shop will wrap it for $2500-$4000 with warranty, which is very important. A good quality vinyl will last 5-6 years. I think to paint it matte will cost you around $7000-$10000, not every shop can do it.

Think ima go pick up some plasti dip and black everything that is chrome except the front infiniti badge. So many mods so little money....anyone wanna group up and buy some lotto tickets?

Honestly I would save up and get it done right - the plastidip, unless you do it perfectly, will come out textured and will look weird on such big chrome pieces. if you want to start out slow and on a budget, Maybe get a roll of vinyl and do a few easy pieces yourself like the bottom chrome trim on the side (under doors).

if not, I would practice with plastidip a lot before going for every chrome piece. It just comes out.....bad looking. It's great for seeing how it would look but I wouldn't use it for the "finished" version....

I know a lot of people have been doing it but I've seen a fully plastidipped car in person (black) and it just looks....bad.

I've been in the same place as you - everyone has - where you are anxious to get something done but your wallet isnt .... wait it out. You'll be much happier.

Hell, I was planing all this custom paint work that would cost ~2k and I still havent done it, it's been almost a year. I would rather wait than do a shitty job ( I guess I'm just a perfectionist)
