Ok, so I'm talking this guy about picking up a set of volks for my white fx35. Need some opinions on the color combo.. I've owned 2 sets on gold wheels on my previous rx8 before, but on a FX..

White FX & 20" gold with polished lip with aggressive offset (10.5 +23)
will be lowered on h&r springs
opinions?

20" with a dish will look too small on the FX unless you're on coil overs. I would do 22" with a dish. Otherwise it should look good man. go for it.

^ True, twenty's with flat faces can look small on the gen 1's depending on the color combo, add a lip to the wheel and you lose at least an inch in diameter due to perception...

20's will look good, if done right

20" 10.5

I think the older style BBS's like they ran on the Porsche 930's would look pretty sweet on our cars. Of course depending on what color it is, gold would look good as long as its not that really bright orangish color gold if you know what I mean.

Gold can work on a lot of colors. White and gold is a good combo. And 20"s can look great on the first gen, but you may have to lower more than H&R level (not very low). If you lower on just H&R's, 22"s are probably a better bet, otherwise it looks very small. GT-C's look really small already, the spokes don't go all the way to the barrel so it gives the illusion of being smaller than it is. A wheel where the spokes go all the way out to the edge would look better.

IMO, the car posted w/ 20"s isn't the best example of how 20"s could look. His car is slammed, but with a step lip wheel and super stretched tires (I think those came off of a G), the wheel looks lost in the wheel wells. You need meatier tires to pull the look off.
