i have the nismo.
but honestly, even if you get the HKS or cheaper copy version x02 and put it on your FX, unless it;s slammed to the ground i wouldn't shave any part of the bumper...you would have to play around with the exhaust piping to get to to fit and look right...
here's some shots with the nismo exhaust from the back. you can see it from behind depending on how tall you are or what you are driving...
here's a shot of the nismo muffler (polished, so it;s shiny)
and some others from the back...
you also have to think about what hte underside of the FX looks like...it's not just empty space that you can put a muffler down there anywhere you like.... but if you try to fit that x02 you need to cut the bumper just because the tips wont reach the stock tip location.... plus that exhaust it different because insted of going straight back from the tips, it angles in...so sometimes if you throw it on a 350z itll stick out the bottom of the car unless you trim the bumper.....my firend has a g37 and he used to have the x02 and it was too low to the grond and he didnt want to cut his rear valence so he could raise it up, he sold it and got the AAM,
but besides that, that exhaust, in my opinion, would be too loud for an fx especially if you are going to change to test pipes or HFC, etc... unless ytou are slammed and all modded out, i dont think that exhaust is the right choice..plus if you arent getting the actual HKS one rememebr all you have is a copy and sometimes theydont even help power wise........ I would suggest looking towards maybe a dual canister style exhaust if you really want it to be seen that you have an aftermarket exhaust. search username "dopie", he has a custom dual-canister exhaust that looks pretty sick and you can tell right away it's not stock....
but if you want to be the first to fit the x02 exhaust to the FX while cutting up the bumper and such, go ahead.......we like users who use themselves as guinea pigs to new mods
