Official Exhaust Video Thread

Hey Fxlr...I think I just saw a video of your FX with the HKS Legamax exhaust. I'm assuming it would sound the same for the M35, yeah? I'm researching exhausts myself (trying to squeeze some MPG out of this car) and right now the HKS and the Megan are in my price range.

Can you shed some light on this?

Not sure if the legamax for the FX35 would sound exactly the same as the M35, the FX has a single midpipe that goes into one muffler and separates into two tail pipes. I believe the M's HKS exhaust is more of a true dual exhaust, if I had to guess I would say that the M35 HKS exhaust would probably sound better.

Better? I'm looking for as OEM sounding as possible (in terms of level of noise). I'm driving a luxury car, not a 4 cylinder Honda.

Do you think it would be relatively quiet? Especially in cabin?

With my hks on the fx it was pretty quiet at idle and light acceleration, but heavy acceleration was definitely louder than stock and not in a fart can kind of way. HKS makes quality products.

Here is my fx during a seafoam treatment, you can get an idea of the HKS exhaust at various RPM's.

I think I'm sold on the Megan Mid-Pipe and Axle-Back. You guys think it would sound a little quieter on a M35? Especially since I don't have an intake?

The V8 should sound deeper and throatier, while the V6 should sound a little higher pitched. One good comparison would be listening to the Nismo on both the FX35 and FX45, to see how it changes from one engine to the other.

Forgot to add mine.
