Anyone else feel like their camera isn't as clear as it could be at night? Mines seems almost old school TV black and white and a little grainy. What settings do you guys have your cameras brightness and color etc.? My wifes 09 Murano reverse camera looks so vivid even at night.

I drove the G37X loaner couple days ago, and the nighttime picture quality sucked big time, as you described "old school TV black and white and grainy". My $30 Pyle back-up camera performs 10 times better.

I find my 2013 is much worse than my 2010 in low light situations. About to bring it back to the dealer.also does anyone notice the side cameras do not have infrared capabilities?

You can try using brighter reverse bulbs. I replaced my reverse bulbs with bright white LEDs and noticed more a lot more clarity when reversing at night. Word of advice, if you do use LEDs, make sure that the LEDs has a 360 degree light pattern like conventional bulbs to reflect off the mirror housing in the assemblies or the LEDs will act like pin lights and probably perform worst than the reverse bulbs you replace.

I think that the image could be adjusted. I smashed my passenger side mirror and had it replaced with a used one from ebay. When I hooked it up, the image from the replacement side mirror/camera was much brighter and crisp, day or night. I remember another thread that mentioned being able to get into the system diagnostics. I plan to go into the settings to see if I can adjust and recalibrate the camera settings. But the fact that the used mirror displays a crisper, clearer image than the other three cameras might indicate that the camera image may be adjusted.

Can you tell me where you got your bulbs and which ones you used? How hard is it to change out the bulbs? Is there a DIY?

TIA, Alan

Mine could definetly use some adjustment also. Thanks Arron for the diag. menu tip. Does anyone have a recommended camera list of settings to optimize the cameras ability in low light situations.

No problem

Make sure the radio is off when your turning the knob to the right while holding the setting button. I learned the hard way and forgot and the music blasted and scared the shit out of me lollll

Well, I played around with the settings and unfortunately did not find anything to adjust clarity or brightness. I was only able to adjust the viewing angle/distance from the car. If anyone had better luck, please post! I guess the newer models might have come equipped with better cameras...

The newer models have the same cameras just a better resolution screen.

another trick to adjust brightness is push the camera button then push the setting button and a brightness menu will pop up.

i entered this hidden setting and did not find anything with a camera setting at all. I too was scared as shit because i forgot about the radio being on hahah
