I've seen 3 other new members join the scene recently. I even sent one of them an invite when they posted their "Hello" post. Would be great if we could get to double digit numbers.

If any new members from a Maryland, DC, and Virginia want to become member of DMV just get in touch with Me or Toni.. We'll set up a mini meet and welcome you to DMV!!

I'm leaving Guam in June and should be in the Maryland area by the beginning of July. Hopefully my car is there already by the time I get settled.

Oooo joining the crew?
Nice DG you got there!!

What the hell? Am I the only one seeing that shard of metal from his rim jabbing his rear passenger side tire??? What IS that???

Upon further review, it was the result of a bad photoshop job (notice swirl direction on license plate). JB, I'm going to have to ask you a couple of questions...

I need your help DMV'ers. Looking for a good apartment to live in the BWI / Ft. Meade area of Maryland. Been looking around at apartments and having a hard time figuring out what a good area to live in, never really been in this part of Maryland. I have a three, soon to be, four year old daughter and need to find a good school for her as well. Any help would be much appreciated.

Also not trying to live in the Baltimore area and looking for no more than a 20 min drive to BWI.

I live in VA, so can't provide the best advice but I think the Anne Arundel (Spelling?) area along BW parkway has what UR looking for. At least something to check out.

Sorry, I meant the Arundel Mills area off BW Parkway. I think its like Hanover or Elkridge, MD.

I think you have a number of options, with about 4 counties to choose from. PG, Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery. All within 20 mins from Airport. Most people I know shy away from PG county because of schools, housing taxes, etc. Howard is probably the cheapest because they don't have to worry about paying for infrastructure. Montgomery has the best schools, also a good place to live, housing is expensive, but depending where you live, you are a neighbor to DC, really don't need a car. Anne Arundel is a nice area from what I remember, I only go out there for the Airport.

I'd concentrate your search along the rt. 32 corridor from Ft. Meade to Columbia, and west to Clarkskville.

North on I-95 takes you to Elkridge which is closer to Baltimore.
And south takes you to Laurel, not exactly the best either, especially in the vicinity of the horse race track.

I guess I'll most likey settle between DC and Baltimore. I hear the area around there is alittle high for housing, but what choice do you have when you think of the area. It would be nice to leave near of the major highways to make it easy to get around.

Thanks for all the help.
