Need new rotors on my G35?

Hmm you think I need new rotors for the G? Lol

I drive around for 2 hours hoping the rust goes away on the surface and it doesn't. I can also here screeching when the wheel is spinning echoing down the street. Also on the highway the steering wheel slightly vibrates and shakes. And the rotor surface feels uneven.

Here is what they look like after driving lollll:

im pretty sure these are the original rotors too with 95K miles on them.

Looks like they have to be machined, but they can usually only be done once before they reach their specified minimum thickness. I would imagine you would be due for new rotors after almost 100,000 miles.

could be the pads are worn out un even. you can try and remove the pads and rotors, sand it with heavy grit sand paper and see if it helps.

Thanks guys

I figured the symptoms I was having was warped rotors. I guess I'll replace them then. I found a vendor on G35driver named G35BrakeSolutions that sells a whole kit. 4 drilled and slotted rotors with stop tech brake pads for $350. Does that seem like a good deal for all 4 corners? Or can I get away with replacing just the rotors and not the pads? Here is their website and link to the rotors and pads:

by the way I've heard negative reviews on drilled rotors such as cracking and warp age and lots of noise. Anyone with drilled rotors can give me their opinion?

Smh I was driving today and the brake, slip, and VDC off light came on when I use the brakes a lot then the lights go off.

Definately everything is going to need swapped out!!

looks like your beater is acting like a beater lol...you replaced or are replacing so many things. Most people don't put as much preventative maintenance and care on their beaters. :)

Post is from a few days ago, but did you ever take it in? Sometimes low brake fluid can cause this, or low pads causing it to act like low brake fluid.

Yeah I took it to a local shop and got a second opinion. The rotors and brake pads are shot. The brake pads are so thin the brake fluid level went down from the pistons being pushed out more from the skinnier pad.

already ordered 4 new rotors and pads!

Yeah I've already put a lot of money in this car. But I kind of expected it since it has around 95K miles.

Stuff I bought already:

Tires-$400
Spark plugs-$67
Drive Belts-$48
All new rotors and pads-$320

not bad though considering this car can easily do another 95K miles

I'm doing rotors and pads myself since its child's play lol

Thanks Wayne she runs good. These are great cars actually and I plan on keeping her a very long time too along with my FX.

its a shame you got rid of yours. Owning a G35 now I can see why these made car and drivers 10 best back when they came out. They drive like a dream.

We really did enjoy both of our G35x's, both of them did a few long distant trips to the east coast of Canada and the US. great cars.

I just got the centric (stoptech) drilled and slotted rotors with stoptech pads. I figured I would take my chances lol

The vendor I bought them off of gave me a 3year guarantee so we shall see.
