Time for my FX to retire. I've enjoyed my FX since the end of January of 2005 when I got it new and it's been nothing but pleasure to drive it daily. Over the years; I took it to Englishtown and made a few passes, went to Pocono International Raceway for laps (amazing fun). LOTS of long road trips, nothing but compliments from even total strangers while I owned it, ran like a champ all these years and is still running strong.
But as often it happens in life, it's time for change. Recently a long time friend of mine who's been a fan of my FX from day one made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Btw, the reason why I say it's time for my FX to retire is that (unlike me-156K miles in 8 yrs) my friend and his family don't drive much, they put less than 1K miles on their car a year. They have an underground garage in their building so the FX will be nicely tucked away from the crazy NY weather. Best part is that they live exactly one block away from me and I was promised I could go and visit anytime :good:
To ease my pain I got myself a 2013 Audi S4...I think it's helping a bit
I've been a member here for a long time and love it here, hopefully I won't get kicked out for not having an FX anymore. Already checked couple of Audi forums but I don't think I'll be spending much time there. One forum I decided to register is still trying to get my account activated, plus they don't seem to be very active. With that said, I'll add couple of silly iphone pics, hopefully I can convince aiya and soon to help me to take better pics. Will still be attending local meets if I'm allowed :smile (2):
