Well it is a sad time when you have to take your summer wheels off and put on your winters.
Heck I only got my summer set a few weeks ago. Many of you know how I waited for my Enkei GTC 01 20" wheels and tires. I waited over 2 months for them so I had to run them for a couple of weeks and I only put on 2,000KMs (1200 miles).
I love the set up the handling and ride was great. My new 20s weighed a touch less than my OEM 18" setup.
I put 3 coats of sealant on my OEM winter alloys and installed them. I took off my Enkeis and gave them a good wash, I have to put a few coats of Sealant on them before I put them away. The quality of the Enkeis looks very good and I am extremely pleased with them. I had the 265/50/20 Yokohama Parada Spec X installed on them because of all the great recommendations from people on this site and they were right. They seem like a great tire so far.
After I took the wheel and tires off I weighed them on the bathroom scales and they weighed only 60 lbs, which is fantastic considering the tire weighs 36.38 lbs (from the Yokohama site)

The Enkeis have been removed and washed up, ready for a few coats of sealant for nevxt year.

Why not just drive with the wheels year round?
I run winter tires during the winter and also why subject nice wheels to all the salt they put on the icy roads. It is much easier running two sets of wheels and tires rather than change tires on the rims every spring and fall.

what is winter?? Those Enkies look nice!
Thanks Kal_el .
LOL, winter is hockey, skiing, snowboarding, snowball fights etc.

It's also time to put the new winters on.
I took my allseasons off the OEM rims and had my new Blizzak DM-V1 winters installed.
A pretty aggresive tread.

Those look like they would handle the snow pretty well. If you need a baby-sitter for those summer tires, send them down here to Houston and I'll take REAL good care of 'em!
