Hey guy today I took my FX to the dealership and they told me there was something wrong with the MAF sensor. They said it's making my FX burn lean..

Is there any way I can correct this problem?

Thank you guys!

Possible excess oil on the filter, you can use CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Spray and see if that helps.

Will work on it! Thanks bro..

I will try to do this tommorrow.. I'll take pictures of everything to work on a write up later on.. I might as well clean the TB and do the same..

thanks doctor!!

i have some experience cleaning the TB.. it will be a new experience cleaning the MAF..

Maf is pretty simple to clean. Make sure you have a security torx to get the sensor out of the housing. Douse with the maf cleaner it dries pretty quickly and you're done.

Make sure to plug the maf cable back in before starting. Have seen many clean not plug back in before starting the car and you get a check engine light.

Cleaned the MAF sensor.. easy day.. i also find out that it is easier to remove the whole upper plenum in order to clean the TB.. that way you dont really have to mess around with the TB that much.. i looked in there and there was oil(from the filter) and carbon deposit by the tons.. i used TB cleaner to clean the upper and lower plenum.. i sprayed the upper plenum with the cleaner and for the lower one i sprayed a rag and wiped the oil and carbon deposit..

i sent my girl to look for a camera but she sometime have the memory spand of a squirell.. and by the time she brought it back i was almost done with everything.. i did take some pictures of the MAF cleaning process.. i'll work on a write-up later on.. it was really easy.. even a cave man can do it!!!

Rubare-

I forwarded this thread to your girlfriend and it seems her memory is slightly better than a squirrel as she remembered forgetting the camera and she now is pissed bro! HAH! Glad the clean-up worked out, how is it running?

will let you guys know how it runs... i started up and it didnt give me any problems nor any lights came up.. i have to run to the store so i will let you guys know if there any performance improvement...

drove my FX to the mall with my girl and noticed better responce and a bit quicker.. also the intake sounds a bit louder. i guess a lil cleaning to the MAF sensor, TB, upper and lower plenum works magic..

thank you guys for all your help..

Well I'm kind of confuse now Dave.. Cause I cleaned it everything works fine but the engine light keep coming on and off(after 2-3 days that is). So im trying to figured out if the MAF from the G's and M's is comparable with the FX's..
