Leather Seat Redye/Color Change on my G35

So lately I've been tossing this ideas to redye the leather seats in my G35. Its a fairly cheap mod and is doable for a diy. As you guys remember I redid the whole headline in dark charcoal suede and I took a big risk with that and it came out amazing.

But now I want to change the seat color only. If I were to redye it I would do it in BMW m3 coral red. Or my other favorite BMW cinnamon which is very similar to brick leather on the FX. This guy redyed his to cinnamon:

He diyed the whole job and it came out awesome.

My problem though is that I have my mind set on those choices but can't decide to jump on a project like this. I could get into something and F something up. There literally is no going back lol. Thoughts??? The reason I'm doing this is because I like projects like this as you could see with the headliner!

Do it. I think you'll have fun with it and it will look sick! That m3 red BMW color is my all time favorite interior color.

Few things to think about:

Winter is approaching. Is now the best time?
Also, are there any concerns with the color rubbing off on people's clothes?

Hmm the winter thing I forgot about but the instructions recommend doing it indoors.

And like you mentioned in worried of the dye will rub off too :/

When done correctly, I've never heard of any problems of rubbing off on clothes. Again . . . That I've heard of. I would always remain concerned though.
Is it more difficult to go from a dark to a lighter color?
Someone on here dyed to a dark red.

Here is the FX dyed burgundy for process reference.

Both of the colors you show look fantastic. On a G sedan, I would choose the cinnamon over the red.

The FX was reupholstered, not dyed I believe. And having seen some long term dye projects, I would say that if done correctly, it won't rub off. I saw a post where a BMW guy did it in his bedroom. Built a spray area and everything.

Ok guys I'm going to do this lol. A lot of the BMW guys recommend the Graco Spray Station 3900 for this job. I do have a giant compressor but its stored away for the winter and its loud as hell. This graco airbrush station is only $149.

Going to Lowes after work tomorrow to buy one :)

Now the question is what color should I go with??

The color I'm leaning towards is BMW coral red. I attached a picture beloe2ygy5a5u.jpg

Its either that or BMW cinnamon. I think the coral red will go better with my black obsidian sedan??

I feel that the cinnamon gives a sense of rich luxury and the red gives a sense of rich sportiness. Red runs the risk of ricey. BMW can pull it off. Benz Designo can pull it off. Infiniti can pull it off, but more easily on a G coupe. I think red will be too wild for a G sedan. I still like it, but would definitely choose the gorgeous rich luxury of the cinnamon.
