I come home yesterday and i stop in front of my house and its very quite. I stick my head out of the window and i hear this knocking sound. I open the hood and i hear it from the passenger side. If i put my hand on the motor i can feel it knock. Anyone else experience this? Im going crazy thinking what it could be. Bearing or a bent rod? I checked the oil and its good. I have 55k miles on the motor.

This sounds like your problem. I found this tsb:

ITB06-012

IF YOU CONFIRM

There is a ticking, clicking, thumping, or knocking noise heard in the passenger compartment at idle. The noisecould be from the engine compartment.

ACTION
• With the engine idling, feel the fuel damper hose while the noise is occurring. The fuel damper hose is located on the Bank 1 side of the engine.

All V6 vehicles

Passenger side

All V8 vehicles

Driver side of engine

  • If the vibration of the fuel damper hose coincides with the noise heard inside the vehicle, replace the fueldamper and attached hose on that cylinder bank (Bank 1).
  • See the respective ESM and Engine Mechanical (EM) section for replacement of the damper with hose.
  • Confirm the noise at idle from the passenger compartment is not present.

Here is the updated parts number:

Ahh ghesus man. I dont have a factory warranty anymore. I purchased the extended elite warranty which supposedly covers everything when i bought the fx. I hear the ticking and knocking. FmL ugh.
Gona change the damper myself and see what happens.

Hmmm..... I had a feint knock on my M35 and the dealer changed my short block. I only heard it with my music off when it was really quiet at night. The dealer was isolated the sound to one of the cylinders by performing a cylinder deactivation test.
