Is it normal?

I will have to take pictures later, but my m45 sits lower in the back than it does in the front. The rear wheels have maybe a 1/4" gap between the wheel and the quarter panel, but my front wheels have about 1 1/2" gap. Is this normal? I really want them to have the same space.

What suspension do you have? base stock, sport stock or aftermarket.

most of the time the front will be higher

Its stock m45 sport suspension. The rear sits almost perfect, maybe a half inch of space between tire and fender. Should i just cut the springs in the front?

who you telling I'm on my 2nd set. Before the D2's I was on the Tein H-Tech which I still have.

But I must say it's well worth it as it's smoooother than the oem suspension, it lets you set the ride height to your liking. And unlike others D2's are true coilovers.

I can tell you that most oem struts don't last pass 60k miles (I have seen oem sport fail at 30k mls) and if you do a search you'll see that just the oem struts without the springs will cost just about the same as the D2 coilovers.

If your M has over 65k miles it's time to shop around for struts.

Yea, mine is at 91,6+ miles right now. Just want to get the ride height where I want it. Guess its time to save some money lol

How hard were they to install?

Oh and here is the front wheel...

rear's are very easy to install but fronts take a little longer but not hard at all.

A nice drop would be to have the fender lip eve with the top of the tire.

What's in the trunk?

Lol nothing is really the trunk, its been like that since I got it. I like how the rear sits though, just wished the front sat the same way. I have spacers on my wheels so they sit out a little further, flush with the fender actually.

Well...Looks like I'll be getting some d2's in the future. It would cost me about $500+ for new struts, and another $250-$300 for lowering springs. Might as well go with the d2's for that price lol.

So what would you guys recommend. I just want to get the ride back right for a decent price.

I would say coilovers as I have done already

you should try to get some feedback from other M owners that have coilovers installed, see what they have to say.

I just did a M45 sport not to long ago with D2's and the owner was very happy, It drove much better than the oem sport suspension.

I'll try to find a pic for you
