Does zebra555 still frequent the forums? I would pm him but I don't have 10 post yet:disapointed: and I don't want to resurrect old threads lol

Thanks

were people still having problems with hangers breaking and exhaust leaks from their invidia exhaust? Also does it come with all the exhaust gaskets or do I have to buy new ones or reuse the ones from the stock exhaust?

I havn't heard of anyone in my tenure here having problems with the invidia. I know some 350 and g35 guys a long time ago had problems, but those have long been corrected.

The exhaust comes with new everything for install. It's the best system for the 1st gen FX hands down, don't think twice.

Better than Motordyne's TDX v2?

I just placed an order with zebra555. a pleasure doing business with, prompt and had a very good price, cant wait for it to come in on friday:drool:. I asked because I was reading a couple threads on this forum about the hangers breaking and leaks between the x pipe and y pipe or somewhere around there

Best bolt on exhaust for the FX.

Obviously a few systems like the motordyne, greddy, HKS, Amuse, tomei, etc. which are built for the 350z/G35 are nicer, but modding them to fit the FX can be annoying.

Hell I don't want to be the one to hack up a $4000 titatnium Amuse exhaust to extend the tips. And then systems like the greddy are impossible to come by, and the Tomei although nice, hangs really low, and is only a single exit exhaust, which suits some race styled 350's but not an FX.

Ahhh, okay yeah that's understandable. Also, the diameter of the Invidia piping is smaller than most of those you listed.. Which is optimal for our power output, unless we choose to go F/I.

I haven't heard of FX's with Invidia issues, just complaints about drone which is subjective and happens on just about any aftermarket exhaust. I personally haven't had any issues with mine. No leaks and no broken hangers even though I scrape it a decent amount since my FX is really low. I think if you order the Invidia new, it comes with gaskets. I'd always recommend using new ones, they're cheap and it's easier to install new ones while the exhaust is being swapped than to have to go back under there because of an exhaust leak.

My invidia is still going strong. Like everyone else the drone will get to you at times. Trying figure something to cut that out. I was one of the early guys that bought the invidia and suffered broken hangers. Now they supposedly fixed that issue. Enjoy your exhaust and from time to time it wont hurt to double check those hangers.

I've been running my Invidia (thx to Gordon) for over 4 years now and no issues whatsoever. Yes, there is some drone but it has seemed to die down over time, not sure if I jst got used to it or if it's the exhaust itself. If I had to do it all over again, I would still go invidia jst because aside from the Stillen, it is the only true dual bolt-on for our rides and I've seen the Stillen and I still prefer the build quality of the Invidia.

I contacted zebra555 about the exhaust, he gave me an Excellent price and now the Invidia exhaust with the rolled titanium tips is on the way!

Thanks again Zebra555!!!
