My wife and I went shopping in New Jersey Garden Mall at 4:00PM and came out at 7:00 PM. At my surprise the pasenger side window was half roll down and when I went to enter the driver side, the door handle was damage due to break in. My ipod and cord from GPS were gone. They were inside the compartment between the front seats so they weren't visible at all. Security at the Mall and the police said Infiniti has a security flawed that when you break the door lock both window will roll down! JUST be aware in this flaws Infiniti owners and be careful where you go specially holiday is around the corner, thieves is going to be every where!!

Pic before my wife ask me to go shopping at that damn Mall:mad.::mad.::mad.: I just washed and waxed my fx and cleaned the inside so there was nothing interesting to see inside!!! Thinking of tinting the front window but I don't want hassle from the COPS they pull you over for every little things!:mad.:

Shouldn't of went to that mall. It's really bad there, and I know a whole bunch of people that have had their cars fucked with in that parking lot.

Someone else on here had the same thing happen to their 2nd gen FX. They use a flat headed screwdriver to jam the lock and the windows roll down. Spend $25 and do a keyhole delete.

Told my wife that was a ghetto mall but she wouldn't listen!! I guess she found out the expensive way! :mad.:

That's so screwed up bro. Did you contact insurance already?

And yeah it's a ghetto mall lmao. Should of went to Roosevelt Field Mall.

We usually go to Shorthills Mall but they close very early during weekdays. For some reason she wanna try that freaking Mall (women!!!). Yeah I contacted my Insurance already and I'm good to go for tomorrow. What a hassle and of course the $500 deductible will sting!

Good to hear about insurance taking care of you:tup: I hope everything goes smooth with insurance. Too bad bad you weren't sitting in the car to catch these thieves in the process. Now your going to need your door repainted, new handle, lock, and I-Key wiring. :embarrassed:This stuff truly breaks my heart to see that no one can have anything nice in this world.

Sorry to hear about the break-in and damage to your car.... There's really nothing you can do to stop a thief; if they want in, they get in.. Most you can do is to make your car less attractive by not having anything out in the open that can/may be of value.. I wonder if it would have been cheaper if they broke the glass instead of the handle and paint damage.. Sucks man, sorry.

ouch!! that looks painful.. hopefully the door iteslf isnt too damaged..

Its painful indeed:mad.: Looking from the outside that was the only damage.... I hope. I gotta check it again tomorrow morning...

There was nothing valuable you can see inside the car, its still a mind boggle why they broke in. And how can you make your car less attractive its an Infiniti:smile (2): Its definitely cheaper if they had broken the driver side window instead but that would have made it obvious break in.

Keyhole delete would not help as you can see they pry the damn thing!!!:mad.: We need a door handle delete!!!

But if they see no key hole, they may think there is none at all and leave your car be. That's why they never messed with the passenger side door cause there is no visible key hole to mess with. It's all about the driver side door. If you get rid of the key hole completely it would atleast be a good preventative measure. Then again if they want something inside, they will just break the glass:mad.::mad.::mad.:

Sorry to hear it! That sucks. My blood would be boiling. The crazy thing is, 1st gens all the way back to oh three have this defect, and Infiniti still hasn't fixed it. Nice.

Having lived in the city for many years now, I've learned that the best defense is to leave NOTHING in the car EVER. It doesn't work 100% but it's the best you can do (unless you want a pit bull to live in your trunk... hmmm...).

Well, good thing my doberman goes with me all the time then.:mask:

Sorry to hear about that Gsun and I hope everything works out for you and hopefully never happens again.
We all need to get us a trunk monkey! Hilarious. 2nd option is... well.. I recently got my ltc (license to carry) and buying a glock soon so if anyone tries to break in mine they'll have a problem...just saying...

I've caught soembody about to break into my car at school, so I started parking irhgt infront of the security camera. same at malls, etc.

It sucks this happened to you. there's the same problem on the 1st gen where oyu can roll the window down....sucks man
