Hello Everyone,
First things first, this has to be one of the least expensive (around $15) and least time consuming mods ive done to the FX so far. I love the hell out of it and it adds so much to the car at night. This is my first DIY so here goes...
You will need:
Instructions
1. Open door
2. Locate the screw cover behind door handle
///9056
3. Take razor blade and stick it in right side and pry cover out. Unscrew screw behind it.
///9055
4. pry off door handle cover to reveal two screws behind it and unscrew those as well
///9054
///9053
5.Starting from bottom of door, pry door panel off with hands
///9052
6. When you start to get to top lift up and out
///9051
7. Now, we have to disconnect the wires to the door panel to remove it. There are electrical connections and two wires to release door.
///9049///9048///9047
You will be coming back to this last wire that goes to the OEM door light.
8. Congratulations, you've removed your door panel. :good::rotfl:
9. Now, take the door panel and set it upside down somewhere. Get your drill and hole saw. This is where I chose to place the light as it is the best place I found. However, you can choose wherever you want on the bottom as long as it fits.

Warning: next part is fun!
DRILL THAT HOLEEEEEE

Perfect!
10. Unscrew the screw for the light off fixture and put it into the hole, feeding the wire through.
11. Screw light to be snug, but still able to move. You need to test how it is sitting and where you want the logo to be when the door is open. To do this i put the red wire into the red female part of the wire going to the existing light and the black from the new light to the female part of the acceptor that corresponds to the blue (ground) wire of the vehicle. Hopefully that made sense.
12. When you get the light where you want it screw that sucker in hard so it doesnt move.

13. Cut off the acceptor of the existing wire to the OEM courtesy light and strip the wires.
Careful: WIRES ARE HOT (wont hurt you much though, only 12v)
14. Cut and strip the wires coming from the new light and then connect the red to red and blue to black using wire nuts or your preferred method.

15. Stuff wires into door panel and put everything back together. Push on panel until everything clicks back into place and replace the three screws, put door handle cover back on and the screw cap up top.
You're done!
Enjoy your new mod! Heres some of my final result pictures, I swear these make such a big difference at night and everyone who has seen it is stunned and wants some for their car! As always, feel free to ask questions or point anything out I may have missed. Thanks for reading

You will need:
- Phillips screw driver
- Razor Blade (can be substituted)
- Drill
- Hole Saw Bit (included with mine, 24mm, check your specific lights)
- The lights
- I got mine off ebay, cant find exact link but here are two that will work, i think they are newer and a little thinner housing:
- Wire strippers
- Wire nuts (not crucial, but helpful)
