IBA Flashing and other issues

Location
Michigan
This has been going on since the last weeks.
  1. The IBA lights flashes for 5 odd seconds randomly while I'm driving (so far it has done it 4 times)
  2. When the honk the horn the battery light & the brake light lights up
  3. fog light indicator light on the instrument cluster stopped working even when the fogs are turned on

Dropped it off at the dealer for them to find out what's going on.
Any idea what's going on here guys!!!!??

IBA light flashing means the sensor is facing in direct sunlight. That's normal it states that sunlight can sometimes interfere with it in the manual.

And we don't have a fog light indicator. We only have a headlight on indicator

where is the IBA sensor located?
Ummm interesting no fog light indicator. The service tech guy told me that the fog light indicator isn't working!!!!

He doesn't know what he's talking about. We only have a headlight indicator that lights up a little symbol in green on the cluster.

the IBA(intelligent brake assist) indicator has a forward facing sensor in the front lower part of the bumper.

Heard back from the dealer today...they are saying that 2 of computers are not communicating with each other...(dont remember which one he said). they are looking more into this problem. They also indicated that im missing a horn, apparently there are 2 horns on the FX and i only have one..and as far it goes on the fog light indicator they are still figuring it out. I asked if the FX even has a fog light indicator and he was like YES OF COURSE every Infiniti has a fog light indicator if equipped!!!

Well it is when the light turns on. :)

I believe it's in the manual also. I've definitely read it somewhere other than on a forum.

Really havent had the time to read the manual

^ is this LJ Parker telling you all this from Suburban Infiniti of Novi? I have a few stories that makes me not want to return there.

I guess since it is still under warranty have them do whatever just make sure you take notes and ask lots of questions. If you were out of warranty, I was going to recommend Infiniti of Ann Arbor.

The M has a fog light indicator, at least my previous 07 and wife's current 08. Maybe the dealer guy is confusing the two. I will also be interested in the "not communicating" issue between computers, since simple automotive computers rarely do this. Let us know.

Im never going to the Suburban collection...even if someone paid me i will not go there...i had a bad experience with the Honda/ Acura Suburban team and Infiniti of Suburban.
Eric at Infiniti of Ann Arbor told me that the computers are not communicating with each other that's why im a major electrical problem, they confirmed that the flashing IBA light is due to the mis communication between the computers. Yes factory warranty is taking care of all this while i drive around in a G25...have to admit the G25 is GOOD to drive saves so much gas!!

good to know. Hmmmmm. Do you know if the FX was ever in a flood....is it originally from MI or out of state?

Tell Jeffrey Jonas says hi if you see him. I'm been averaging 14.6-15.4 mpg for each fillip in the FX50 and I do probably slightly over 50% highway. I rarely follow the speed limit though.

2009-2011 no fog light indicator...... 2012+ they decide to upgrade and install the fog light indicator.....sweet!!!!

Ok ....so i got the FX back today....this is weird...after like a day at the dealership trying to figure out what's going, giving me all these stories that few computers aren't communicating with each other, missing a horn and leading me to think that something big was going on with my FX. Well at the end of the day It had a missing fuse for the high horn!!!! Due to the missing fuse a mis communication occured between few computers. Also as the fuse for the high horn wasn't there, they assumed I had one horn missing. Now everything is back to normal.
